I might like MadTV if they actually wrote scripts and didn't just re-use the same skits every episode. At least SNL has the decency to retire characters when they're not funny anymore.

Dont have a link but i saw a clip of a US show last night. It was like a hip hop musical soap opera and the name completely escapes me. The clip had some cop in the kitchen with a woman with someone singing (off-stage) describing what was happening. Then the singer comes through a door and a midget comes out of a cupboard!!! If someone knows what i mean please tell me or post alink for me.

I don't think I'd like MadTV even if they did write new material, as I have little faith that it would be any better than what they already run.

That said, I'd like to express my grief that Comedy Central dumped SNL re-runs for MadTV. It's been a few years now, and I still can't get over it.

I've had several people talk about how awesome/funny/etc... MadTV is, leading me to watch it a half dozen times or so. I've never found it funny. It seems like the actors are trying too hard, almost in a desperate frenzy.

It's been a few years since I saw it but I remember Mo Collins, Nicole Sullivan, Michael McDonald and Alex Borstein to be pretty funny.
