Who else agrees that it is probably the greatest older shows on Nick. My friends and I always bring it up somehow in conversation, there are so many memorable scenes. I admire it because it was a very funny show to me, without being stupid and watered down. It was a pretty intelligent show, and it did have some nice touching episodes/scenes, though it wasn't ultra-preachy. What comes to mind is the episode where you find out about the Vietnamese guy, Mr. Hyuhn's (I probably spelt that wrong) past and about how he had to give up his daughter in the war in Vietnam. Though of course it had its absurd funny moments, like the Stoop Kid episode.

The characters also really made the show. There are so many crazy characters with great quirks, from Arnold, to Helga, to Monkey Man and Eugene.

Anyone else a big fan of this show?

If it weren't for Roco's modern life I'd say yes Arnold was the best.

I loved this show. I haven't seen it in so long though, man I want to watch it again...

Yeah, easily the best Nick show.

Actually, Doug was cooler than Rocko...

Doug>Rocko>Arnold

Salute Your Shorts kicked 'em all across the room. Why does NickToons even exist?

The old Nicktoons are always the best. I was humming the theme to Doug earlier today.

Yeah, I really loved Hey Arnold. Well, I still love it. Whenever it's actually on, I totally watch it. Don't care that I've seen most of the episodes. It'll always have a special place in my heart.

Not sure about where Doug stands in relation to it though. They're both great

I think you mean CatDog and the Angry Beavers.

I liked the older nick shows like Rocko and Hey Arnold too. I've been watching them lately.

This show was so good. What was the fat jewish kids name? I can't remember. He was so cool. Then Arnolds best friend.

Hey Arnold! was great. Helga was my favorite character. I loved the episode where she bought a monitor lizard. Now whenever I hear someone mention anything about monitor lizards, that's the first thing I think of :jess:

Yeah, I remember Hey Arnold!, or at least bits of if. It wasn't my favourite show, but then all of the Nicktoons around then were pretty awesome, so that's not a bad thing. Rocko's Modern Life was ace. :D

The old cartoons in general rock. Now it's all just crap.

Anyway Hey Arnold! and all that was great <33

It almost makes me cry as to how crappy Nick has become since those good ol' days.

It used to be so awesome! Nick sucks now. Only Sponge Bob satisfies me now.

Ren & Stimpy gets easily my vote for #1,

but, oh yes, definitely, Hey Arnold is one of the best Nick cartoons ~

Ren and Stimpy was the best thing on old Nick by miles, and that's not a slight on anything else, that's just how qualitey Ren and Stimpy on Nick was. But I agree old Nick had so much awesomeness, Pete and Pete and Kenan and Kel and Hey Arnold and Doug and man it was great.

I never saw the appeal of Hey Arnold! when it was big. I was always more of a Cartoon Network kid in those days, though. Nick didn't do much for me (other than their live-action shows, which rocked).

Hey Arnold is great. It's one of the few things I'd consider watching on TV. I agree that the characters played a major role in making the show what it is.

Yar, most o' today's nick shows 're rather not that good, eh? Gimme Chalkzone, though, and I'm 'appy as a drunk clam! Some o' t'day's nicks're good, though. Danny Phantom and Fairly Oddparents, yeh?

Oh, I loved that show when I was growing up, the coolest! I miss it, fantastic show, really intelligent and had great ideas and morales to it, while still being mature and flat-out hilarious.

I loved that show! I looked at it again maybe a couple of months back, and it was still just as enjoyable. Arnold as a character was great anyways, because he was realistic in the terms of that you could relate to his life, as he had real problems like anyone else.
