I'm at the Stilsrhine of Miriam right now and I can't get through the way stone because I have to activate that pedestal. Everytime I try it nothing happens and those three zombies appear. What do I need to activate the pedestal which will get me through the way stone and where can I find it?

You have to equip Ashe with the Dawn Shard, make her your party leader, and have her activate the pedestal.

It's the same when you first use a statue as well.

It dosent have to Ashe by the way, it can be any character.
