Do ever get pissed off when you make a post which seems fine to you but then someone quotes 1 or 2 words from your post and calls all of the rest of your post worthless because of the part...
It gets me pretty angry

i dont mind it sometimes. But I guess they just think that some parts of advice are more important then others. no biggie:)

Yes, and in fact, as a defense I think I'll stop using spaces so that my posts are each just one large word. Or maybe I'll learn German.

Uh I don't think this has ever happened to me. I would probably find it more annoying if I made a really serious, well-expressed, well-constructed on-topic post that remained unquoted as opposed to a silly one or two word remark which had been

This thankfully didn't happen to me yet, but if it does happen one day, I'll make sure to have revenge.
Depends on how important the word is. Like in a Written Role-Playing Story (or RP), sometimes a single word changes everything.
It doesn't come down to how little or how much a post has in terms of words, it comes down to how meaningful the post is. If the post is meaningless but has a ten-page essay, it is no different (it temrs of how meaningful it is) as a post that is one word.
This especailly is true with "question words" (who, what, why, etc.). Like if you qoute a post and put "Why?" that post is meaningful, though not elobortory.
Thus, I do not mind if the post is one word as long as it is meaningful.

Well, it's better than quoting every sentence and replying to it.

On a scale from 1 to 10 I would say that I'm never going to make a 2222 word post on this forum. Heck, might as well make that 222.

I wasn't being literal when I said 2222. I was, in fact, being dramatic.
Fantastic work turning the initial post to pull off exactly what was being complained about. Stellar.
Yeah, that bugs me, but I don't argue with people too much online, and semantics are fairly idiotic to argue over when principles are being discussed. If someone degrades themselves to that level, I generally ignore them from that point on.
Depends, maybe that one part (if it doesn't make sense) would make the rest of your arguement fall apart. It more depends on circumstance than anything else.

It gets me pretty angry
Pretty is an adjective, which describes a noun.
Angry, being not a person place or thing, and certainly not a state of being that, on it's non-nounal own, can conjure prettiness.
So, Goldenboco, I say to you with the utmost serious, WTS???

Who is Pretty, and why would you call her an adverb.
I'm too conceited to perceive anything in my arguments to be faulty. So I also tend to look at these kinds of retorts by my debating opponents and see only sheer, raw, unadulterated stupidity.
Of course, some have speculated that I am the stupid one. But they're a bunch of morans.

Man I hate it too. Or when they misread a sentence and yell at you for it when all they did was interpret it wrong. People angry me, which is a bad thing because it's the internet but then I stop and think; The world is a scary place and if they can't be smart on the internet, one of the easiest things to do, then we're all doomed.

Goldenboco, for now on, I am going to select only a minuscule amount of your posts and quote them, claiming that the rest are, simply put, words and nothing more.
Hell, each time I do this, they will hyperlink back to this very thread.

I'm guilty of this too. :D For the record, I really enjoy Ryu's posts in that format. When someone spews forth 6 paragraphs of utter BS it's kinda hard to cut through all of it any other way.
As to the OP. I only really dislike it if they take a single section and quote it way out of context and try to make a retort based on it.

My god, I know what you mean. :D I hate it when everybody basically say I'm an idiot, (Maybe I am, but I know not all of the time.) So, yeah, makes me mad, and a lot of the time, it's none of their business.

Why would i be bothered what anyone thinks about anything on a forum? If someone quotes me out of context i'd either ignore it or explain my original position again.
I don't think anything like that has ever happened to me. :jess:

I don't think anyones ever done that to me, an if they did I wouldn't care. It would be something they didn't understand. So their simple mindedness would amuse me.
