I like Asian horror movies. They scare me more than "American" horror movies. I haven't seen many though. I've only seen Ringu and Cello. Any recommendations?

While I'm at it, I haven't seen a lot of Animes either. Which ones should I start watching?

Jisatsu saakuru
Kairo
Dark Water ( made by the same person that did Ringu, there was an american remake which wasnt great )

If your into oldies, watch Onibaba as well.

EDIT - As for animes, I wouldnt go down the road of watching Naruto, Bleach or any of that crap, watch stuff like Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Rahxephon or Elfen Lied. You could always watch my personal favourite also, Akira.

Ju-on is overrated, it isnt vastly superior to its remake, still better. There are so many better asian horror movies it dosent really need to be mentioned.

Although I haven't been able to see it yet, I've heard great things about Uzumaki. Have you watched it?

Audition.

Although like Dreddz said, Suicide Club is a very very good one.

Godzilla! :D

Kidding!

Horror Anime ? Not my forte...

I recommend Ghost in the Shell though. Creepy enough and lots of action.

Dreddz: Thanks, man. I'll look into those.

Dr Aum: Not yet. I'll check it out though. :)

Kikimm: I've heard of Audition. I'll look into it.

Renmiri: Not horror anime. Just regular anime.

Cant forget Ringu!

And for anime (assuming horror ) Go Gantz and Fate/Stay Night (not so much horror, but kind of creepy towards the end)

Infection is pretty gross. I think that was the name of it.

Asian Horror Movies: Basically, anything by Takeshi Miike will suffice.

Animes: Cowboy Bebop, because it's more mature than alot of other animes.

Everyone seems to be suggesting Japanese horror which I suppose is reasonable, but quality of the horror flicks from HK isn't too bad either. I recommend The Eye 1 or 2.

If you don't mind a bit of comedy in your horror (:rolleyes2 ) then give The Eye Infinity (a.k.a. The Eye 10) a shot.

Any other horror flicks by the Pang brothers are worthy of mention too.

The American version of Ringu was hilarious! That one guy dropped the toaster in his bathtub. Also, that horse jumping off the boat made me laugh. At least in top 100 comedies.

The Eye is pretty good, I back this comment. Its similier to the Sixth Sense. If you liked that, you'll like this. The Eye 2 wasnt half as great as the first in my opinion though.

I saw someone suggest Audition. You should be careful to research that one beforehand; it's supposed to be really graphic.

Try The Shutter.
I don't know if you'll find it scary but I did. Then again I get scared very easily ...
And I'll agree with The Eye 10. Horible stuff! >_<

Suicide Club :[

(And I think the term is Eastern-Eye Horror)
