Did you ever look through old backups and find something interesting?

http://eyesonff.com/ff1/random/eoffbanner.jpg

Isn't it lovely?

http://eyesonff.com/ff1/random/eoff.png

Some important questions must be asked:

1. Who or what is a bearsie?
2. Why was everyone putting dates in their thread titles? I have no idea.
3. Did you know kishi used to be rude? A lot has changed.
4. Notice how threads like "Where did you get your nickname?" have already been thought of 4 years ago?
5. I liked the minimalistic forum layout. I still think it's nicer than what we have now in many ways. Who else is in favor of EoFF migrating to vBulletin v2.0? (Maybe v1.0?)

I found lots of other stuff I'm not going to post because it's embarrassing. I will give you this though:

I'd reckon it has to be with him being around back then.

And I totally dig that minimalistic style. I don't know why people dated their threads, though. I'd imagine the bearsies thread involved PG talking about teddy bears. At least, that would seem in character for him.

And stop trying to make me feel old. 2003 was not that long ago. I was just a freshman in high school! I hate the world.

You didn't know about the Bearsie Empire that ruled before Caligula saved us all from the Reds? Here's an example of a working-class Bearsie to jog your memory:

I remember the old simplistic layout. I still do prefer the 2005 layout though because it's very compact, and I'm anal and prefer things to be very small on websites. As you can kind of tell by the ol' size 1.

I think we should go back to posting dates on the thread titles. I think it's kind of hot.

I love the 2005 layout but this old minimalistic style is indeed very cool! :D

2003 ? I wasn't even born at that time... ;)

well the oldest things I have on my computer were "Last modified in June 2003" which is funny because I didn't have this laptop in 2003, but I transfered the files onto this laptop.

I don't keep many things around long. Those files are only there because they were part of a game I was working on oh so long ago.

I think I actually remember that Bearsies thread. PG had a thing for teddy bears at one time I think. Of course now he thinks of nothing but pies. :)

EDIT: Darn! It's not opening up with all of the sigs and avs as it should be. Those are some of the best parts in the thread. :(

EDIT 2: All fixed. :)

I have some various files from the site I used to run with some friends of mine. We hardly knew how to create a website, but we had a decent forum for awhile. Good times back in the early years of high school when were were young, innocent, and had all the free time in the world. :p

Also, if theres's some kind of competition going on, I think Kishi has a snapshot from the 2000 UBB around somewhere. If he doesn't, here's 2001.

/r/ for the .zip file of the zombie attack. I remember Shoyku had it, but he kind of disappeared.

I got a new computer and lost all of my old nostalgia screenshots. Roogle's got a screenshot of a conversation we had in like, May 2003 that he refuses to tell me what we were talking about.

I still have 'Kishi's classic "don't be afraid, Dr Unne" recital.

After all these years, it's still somewhat disturbing.

You feel old? In 2003 I was in my freshman year of college. This is the year I would be graduating, under normal circumstances. So don't you give me that old crap.

Also, that screenshot is from about a month before I was EoFF-born. I've always been really fascinated with EoFF nostalgia, though. I'm weird like that.

And yeah, I find old stuff sometimes and it makes me laugh.

Oh, that was golden. If my memory serves me correctly, Unne was leaving forums for summer ( 2001 or 2002) and 'kishi recorded him this couraging message. <3 Gave me creeps too.

Man, I miss the old days. Not the layout so much as the people. I just don't know anyone around here now (barring a few familiar faces), and no matter how much I try I just don't care about you all the same way as I did back then. :(

Seeing posts from Nyke and I is pretty fun, plus all the people I used to know.

Sometimes nostalgia hurts.

Funny thing is, I recognize some of those people. And I wasn't here til... 2 years ago? XP
