I know this game has been re-released for the Wonderswan in Japanese, and I also know about this 3D version.
However, I'd like a remake that's done in the same way as FF1 and FF2 for the FF Origins, because I love those kinds of remakes; so, where is it?

RPGe translated the Famicom version in 1995...you'll need an NES emulator and a patched ROM.

Yeah, there's no translated remake of FFIII. You either have to play the new DS version or the translated Famicom version on an emulator if you want to play the game in english.

Alright.
...although I find it strange that the damn thing wasn't released with the FF Origins. :rolleyes2

I thought the FF3 remake for the Wonderswan was never finished. I would really like to get my hands on the rom.

Yes, it was cancelled as a more favorable handheld, the Gameboy Advance entered the market, and the Wonderswan was terminated. However, they didn't have any free time to create a remake, until the Nintendo DS came around.

What I've always wanted was the first 3 NES/Famicom games translated and brought to the GBA, sort of like the Classic NES Series. I still think they should do that, though, like as a collector's item or something(on one cartridge).

I see Square Enix doing that for the Wii Virtual Console
