I just made a new e-mail account with Hotmail and every time I try to log in, it goes straight to newsletters. I can't even put in my email in to log in. And when it does let me log in, I think I did something right, but then afterwards it goes straight to newsletters again. >.>

Does anyone know how to help me finally get to my freakin' in box so I can finally send in my e-mail? :(

There are newsletters? I have never had this problem. Do you use the MSN address to get to hotmail or do you go straight to hotmail.com?

Well, actually, you know when you first make an account and it asks you to make a choice of which newsletters you want sent to you? That's what I keep getting. Here's a screenshot of the page I get:

I've tried both msn.com and try to got to Hotmail from there, and hotmail.com and I get that too. For some reason, that's all.

I wish I could help, but I have never seen that page before. I just go straight to hotmail.com and I never seem to have a problem. Maybe go through all of you Options and double check what you've got checked off.

Well, thanks for trying. :)

It won't let me log in for some reason, so I'm not able to go through options.

Psst, if you go to the bottom of the page when you get such offers when registering at most places, there is usually an option in small print that says something along the lines of "No thanks, continue >>". I am pretty sure MSN/Hotmail has such a thing.

I tried it. I click 'Continue' and it goes on to a blank login screen. After loading, it goes back to this stupid newsletter crap. >.>

what about making it remember my freaking password? It never does that for me, whether I have "remember just email" or "remember email and password" selected.

Hmm, I just signed up for an[other] account to see if I could replicate your problem, but it redirected me straight to the mail stuff after clicking continue. Do you have automatic redirecting turned off? Like the kind you get when you log into eoff?

How do you turn that on, though? Cause I can't find that on Firefox..I'm kinda clueless when it comes to this stuff..

Are you sure you really want Hotmail? I can send you a gmail invite. I tried Hotmail and then Gmail and Gmail is a lot better.

now that you mention it, I can't either xD and I don't really see anything like it on google, so I don't think that's it.

If you used IE it might work better. In Firefox, Hotmail never remembers my address or password, but it does in IE. Of course, I still won't use IE except when I'm at work.

Seriously, if any of you people want Gmail invites, just say the word and they're yours. :P

it used to remember my password, leeza :[ and it still remembers my email

You can get a gmail address without an invite now, if you live in certain countries or use a cell phone for it, I think xD

I have gmail and over a 100 invites to give away, but I like using Hotmail for it's own reasons.

Well, I never really got my hotmail fixed. Just tried again and have the same issue. >.<

But thanks to rih29 for the Google invite. <3 And thanks to everyone who tried to help.

Um, I believe the same thing happens to me. After typing in my login and password, it takes me to a page that looks identical to ffnumbers gurl 100's screenshot.

Just click on the "Mail" tab that's sort of under the Sign Out box. Or do you even have a Sign Out box? Make sure your cookies are turned on, because I always forget to turn mine back on. :D

And hotmail won't remember my password for me either. It doesn't even log in automatically when I check it through Trillian. D: Why do I even bother keeping that address alive?
