which one of you thought that Larsa was girl at first sight? i had the gjuide and i thought he was a girl, and he ACTS like one too

I think being smart when it comes to geopolitical affairs and knowledge of magicite hardly constitutes one as actng feminine.

But he does look kind of feminine...I never thought he was a girl. He's just got a sort of girlish look. I know how it feels too. When I had cornrows, I was mistaked for a girl all the time. But that kiddies, is a story for another day...

Nah, not me. The good thing about writing articles and covering news stories for Squenix is that when they released info on Larsa right off the bat, they made it known he was a male character. I knew right from the start.

Yeah, I totally thought that Larsa was a short adult woman the first time we met him. It didn't help that the use of male specific pronouns wasn't used until later on in the game...

Also, to preempt any 'lol ur all dumb hes totally a guy' comments, keep in mind that it isn't exactly blatantly obvious that Larsa is male when you first meet him.

the first time i saw vayne and larsa in a wallpaper, it reminded me of Laguna and Ellone for some reason xD obviously, larsa is ellone to me at the time. Then, i realized on a fansite she's a HE!

I suppose he can be construed as feminine because his body language and demeanor are so foreign to us, but that in no way makes him any less awesome :)

I think he, Fran, and Balthier are currently fighting a three-way-tie for my favorite character. Larsa's a bit of a dandy, but that's why I like him.

I didn't really know that when I played the game, however, as I've never met anyone named Lamont before (that I can remember, anyway).

Yes, I didn't pay attention to many pre-release information threads as to avoid spoilers, but one of the few images I saw was this one, and I thought the person on the throne was a woman.

I think he, Fran, and Balthier are currently fighting a three-way-tie for my favorite character. Larsa's a bit of a dandy, but that's why I like him.

Lol, yes and yes.

I just wanted to point out that even though I initially thought Larsa was indeed a woman, he still became one of my fave characters in the game. Next to Basch of course, one effeminate character, and one very masculine character, I'm just weird like that.

I've never played FF12 but when looking at screenshots and whatnot, I was like "So this Larsa is like a princess or something" and referred to him as a girl for ages before someone told me he was male :P

I'm pretty sure you're both referring to me and neither of you know it. :D

Meh, he's just very regal. And with most females, they are more proper, leading us to believe that royals are girly. Hence all the pretty, proper boys in more royal families in stories.

I did watch. Quite poignant actually. Brother clearly says he loves her in a non possessive way, i.e., he loves her as a person not to just smooch and make out. That is why he realizes she is not for him.

It could be second or third cousins for all we know. A friend of mines parents are second cousins.

Yuna's (Al Bhed) mother is the sister of Brother's father (Cid).

That would mean Yuna is Brother and Rikku's first cousin.

:mog: Hi! Wow, this is my first time here . . . oh, Larsa IS a boy. I knew it from the first time I ever saw him (on X-Play). I knew it before they told his gender. I must be awesome. Though I must say, Larsa IS a girl's name, since my parents said so and if you type in Larsa on an image search, you will have him and a ton of girls pop up.
