DRM is a measure taken by vendors of digital media distributors to restrict the unauthorized duplication of the media. Basically, it prevents you from copying music and giving it to your mates.

Note that there is a clear distinction between copy protection and DRM. DRM is dissimilar to copy-protection in that you can copy the media as much as you like, only the specific file format will only work on a specific media player or device, for example, Apple's DRM is designed so that the files purchased using iTunes will only be able to be played using iTunes or an iPod.

The more liberal computer community has created other ways to play the media and more importantly, ways to strip the DRM, leaving a regular media file.

But yeah, what clout said, Oldversion is your friend. :p
