I was at my part time job at Barnes & Noble bookstore stocking the computer programming section and realized that I dont know how to pronounce the language "C#". Just how do you say that? "See Pound?" :confused:

Yes it's C-sharp. It's not strictly an "upgrade" to C++, rather it's more object orientated than C++ (though C++ can operate as an OOL).

C# was/is Microsoft's answer to Java. After Java was "invented", it became so popular that Microsoft decided to create their own proprietary langauge that resembled Java, thus C# was born.
