Desperate Housewives isn't a soap, well I don't think it is. But I love it too. xD

I hate soaps I find them repetitive, dull and mind bogglingly boring, though it seems like CSI is now considered a soap and that is not boring or dull.

I thought we were talking about washing our hands and what soaps we use.:(

I sometimes switch to the spanish network and watch their soaps. Not that I speak spanish but I find them funny even when i don't know what there saying.:)

I don't think I like any soap series. In fact, I think I hate every single one I've seen.

I don't think CSI counts as soap. It shouldn't, atleast.

Does "Professional" wrestling count as a soap? Because, well, that is pretty much what it has devolved into. Other than that, I have a mild interest in General Hospital and One Life To Live. Passions is pretty decent every now and again. Which reminds me, Young and the Restless is another personal favorite of mine. The best, and probably my favorite, was Dark Shadows. But that heaviliy depends on your tastes as it probably isn't for everyone. OH GOD ALL MY CHILDREN!!

What? Don't get between me and my stories.

I'll kill you.

When you say pro wrestling, are you talking about WWE ( Raw, Smackdown,) etc..?

Dove is a pretty good soap. Don't give those bastards your money!

Well, I don't actively choose to watch soaps, but sometimes people want to watch them when they're at my house, or when I'm at theirs, so I see them, an then end up doing things like this: If Charlie was the joker: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i146/Anaisa_amazing/jokerCharliebackfromthedead.jpg
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i146/Anaisa_amazing/jokerssurprise.jpghttp://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i146/Anaisa_amazing/deadjokerbrandedCharlie.jpg An Ken was the Godfather:http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i146/Anaisa_amazing/ken3.jpg He goes bankrupt paying for Tracy's lawyer to defend her for killing joker Charlie, an then he has to become a movie starlet to get himself some funds: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i146/Anaisa_amazing/mar.jpg

I watch General Hospital occationally its not that bad, however its strange to me how soap's can constantly jump the shark and still stay on the air.

Also, the thread was moved because this is a TV topic and TV topics belong in The Lounge! :)

I think soaps are mostly just over the top. I only tend to watch them when I need a good laugh (I laugh at the general bad acting)... Other than that, nope.. not really.

Korean soaps are funny. I'm not sure what's going on, but random people get stabbed.

I HATE soap operas. My mom watches them all the time. From what I've seen in my near 17 years of being stuck around them, I have learned a pattern.

1. Whine
2. Whine more
3. Whine even more
4. Man cheats on woman
5. Woman slaps man
6. More whining
7. Woman cheats on man
8. Man beats woman and gets locked up
9. Someone dies
10. More whining
11. Someone replaces dead person
12. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I just think the storyline in coronation street is sikk, for example Tracey killing Charlie, and David blackmailing maria and wanting sex from her.

Hahahaha..very good indeed

Yeah I'm quite liking Tracy's storyline (Corrie).
