In another thread, someone brought upthe idea of making a necklace for valentines day, this brought me back to my Native American 1 on 1 class back in 3rd grade where I learned t do a whole bunch of beadwork. I was wondering if anyone here knew how to do beadwork, and I dont mean just bead after bead, I mean designs with the thread and bead, like a flower and stuff. Have you ever made anything you consider noteworthy?

it's easy, and helps if you have a premade loom, but they're easy to make...my gramma taught me how to use one way back in the day....used to make all kinds of stuff

I know how, I can try to get some pictures of some beadwork that my mother and grandmother made, I have some unfinished work, as well as my sister who is currently making some moccasins.

I don't know how but I'm sure I could learn. So, do I get the job?

I can do a daisy-like flower design. My grandmother taught me how to do it. I've done others as well, but I need to follow instructions for those.

yeah with the loom it's as easy as weaving, so long as you plan out your pattern well enough in advance

I read this as 'Breadwork' and thought it would be a thread about making toast, but I was disappointed.

My friend and I used to make necklaces and bracelets. I'm not really sure if that was a success.
