I'm a helpless night-owl, so I tend to fall asleep in the morning and stay awake all night long.
I know it's not very healthy in the long run, but I make sure not to exaggerate too much.
Anyway...

Lately I've had trouble staying awake.
I usually spend the nights with Star Ocean: The Second Story right now, but I usually fall asleep without noticing.
Usually it's because I have to endure a mega-huge dialogue scene and decide "ah, let's take a nap during the tedious prattle", and then I find myself waking up during that very scene. XD

Anyway, what are your advice on staying awake?
I've tried drinking coffee and all those familiar strategies, but do you have any new ideas? :D

If you are tired, sleep. Don't force yourself to stay up just because you want to.

Again? Play a video game, if you get wrapped up enough you won't notice your tired, thats how I stay up all night.

Well, you live in Sweden, so opening a window should be enough.

Well, you live in Sweden, so opening a window should be enough.Det är inte alltid vinter i Sverige. :p

But yeah, during the winters that would probably work wonders.

In the summer you can just close the window, turn the heater on and wear all of your clothes. You'll probably die, but at least you won't fall asleep.

Srsly though, video games always do the trick for me, but not RPG's, 'cause they can get boring.

If you are tired, and capable of falling asleep, then do so. Video games can be played at any time of the day or night, so it seems rather strange to place so much emphasis on remaining forcibly awake.

Go outside and run around your house. Yes.

Keep yourself busy. Watching TV isnt one of them, some think you can watch TV and keep awake, there wrong. Drink black coffee, dont dilute it with milky goodness. DONT put a heater on, Levian recommended it but the heat will just make you even more tired. DO leave your window open, the noise and cold will keep you awake. DONT get tucked up in bed, thats the biggest no-no of them all. Sit on a stool or something.

Seppuku or frontal lobe lobotomy?

Else probably try one of the other suggestions, :O?

Chatting on MSN or AIM, what works best is having a paper due the next morning which you need to finish.

Seriously, why would anyone want to stay awake?. I'd pay anything to fall asleep at night. :-/ people really don't apreciate what they have.

On topic: I don't think I can give you any advices except coffee. I am a natural owl, sorry!.
