Suppose you're travelling to a far-off land, where a strange and unfamiliar language is spoken. You only have time to learn 3 phrases in the local language. What phrases do you learn?

For my own amusement, I've translated my 3 phrases into Ukrainian.

Vashe mayut sifilis?

Close...but where the devil did you get "mother" from? Mayut is "to have" conjugated to match vashe:

I was sort of translating from Russian, which is slightly different from Ukranian, and I am not familiar with Mayut. So, мать was as close as I could translate it and мать is <i>mother</i>. :)

Heh...the infinitive for "to have" in Ukrainian is мати, too. Almost indistinguishable.
