????

Shouldn't there be one? Even if you had to copy/paste it from our own wiki (http://www.eyesonff.com/wiki/).

They'd delete it for advertising.

It's hidden somewhere on the internet. Find it and win a FREE Xbox 360*

They'd delete it for advertising.

They don't delete sites like 'the best page in the universe' or 'tucker max'

Those also are some of the higher-traffic websites on the intertubes. I think it went up once before and was taken down.

Advertising is a really poor reason for removing an EoFF entry. They should at least come up with something better.

Unless ofcourse the person who made the wiki entry had no idea how to write an objective encyclopedic article.

Wikipedia frowns on advertising of any kind. They are an encyclopedia and take their task very seriously. Also, they receive public funding and for that reason they have to abide by some standards. One of them is to not sell ad space (or give it away for free to just certain people. If they do it, they have to do it to ALL web sites that want it).

It's not just EoFF. You will notice that even though I wrote a sizable part of the FFX section I wasn't allowed to put my own site in the links on the FFX pages.

The FFShrine Wikipedia entry was removed a few months back. It's purely because none of these sites are globally popular enough to warrant a wikipedia page (well, that and it was a poorly written PoS). This prevents people from making pages about anything, at least.

There should not be an EoFF Wikipedia article, no. The less said about this place the better.

I wrote none of the FF1 wikipedia article, but my site is still somehow in the external links. Not that I added it myself or anything. *wanders off*

(I didn't add it.)

But that is just it, if someone adds your site when they don't know you, it is OK. It means it is relevant to the article and it may be allowed to stay. But people who write the articles can't add their own site or play favorites, it's tacky and against the rules!

Drive more people to EoFF and up our Alexa rating and you can get your wikipedia entry

Because EoFF isn't nearly popular enough to justify being on there.

I agree, even MANUS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manus) had its wiki. :(

Only <S>cool</S> lame things have a wiki

Fix'd! :D

But yeah, this site has nowhere near the ammoutnt of traffic that, say, GameFAQs does. And for the better IMHO.
