I wish for Shenmue 3 more than anything else in Sega's possession. Since VF5 is out now. This Shenmue 2 is one of a small percentage of games I've actually finished, and the story has left me hanging since then.

I guess NiGHTS (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=102086) would be ok though.

Surprise! It's another Sonic game.

...I really hope that doesn't happen. :p

Vectorman 3!

I'd hope for another Skies of ARcadia. Haven't beaten the first, so I don't know if a direct sequal would work, but do an FF thing with it.

Panzer Dragoon Vier!
Jet Set Radio 3!
A proper 3D remake of Space Harrier, ala Outrun 2 or AfterBurner Climax!
Shenmue III!

I don't see how this could be anything but brilliant, save "Sonic 2007".

I don't think Vectorman ever belonged to Sega though.

Please be Shenmue III.

If it's a new NiGHTS or SoA, that'd be a pretty big deal.

If it's Shenmue III, that may just be the only news bigger than if Blizz announces SC2 this year.

My money?

Panzer Dragoon Saga 2.

Or a re-issue of Panzer Dragoon Saga.

If it's a new SoA then go for it lol. I have both versions but love the DC one more than the GC one. It's one of my fave games!

I'd love another one of them, just to see what Vyce actually found. Lol, and if he got with Aika or Fina.

Would be so awesome.

I'm hoping for either Shenmue 3, another Vectorman, or Phantasy Star V, or that expansion pack to Phantasy Star Universe I read about.

Eh, aside from The Burning Crusade, expansion packs aren't usually that big of a deal. At least not for a company to say it's a major announcement.

My money goes on th revitalization of an old franchise, so Vectorman or NiGHTS. Possibly Shenmue 3, I guess, since that series was supposedly dead in the water.

It's a hard call. If it ends up being some Sonic game, I'll be depressed.

Shenmue Online! :p

I'm with you there, pal. I've been waiting for Shenmue 3 too.

I wish I had a Dreamcast to play the first one, but at least I could watch the DVD that came with the Shenmue 2 Xbox version.

It's such a unique and detailed form of gameplay, with a good balance of action, QTEs and exploration of a ridiculously complex game enviroment, that I would be glad to pick up the third in the series.

Maybe it's taking this long because of the immense amount of work the developers have to put into it.

I don't see the big deal about Shenmue. The first one drove me crazy. Too slow paced and awkward.

Amazing scope, amazing detail and interactivity, excellent fighting engine adapted from Virtua Fighter, great (by game standards) story and great atmosphere.

Not to mention that, bar voice acting, they manage to make a game environment so amazingly believable. Which is basically my main gripe with pretty much all non combat segments of other games.

They are epic games if you give them the chance.

Shame that Shenmue Online looks so horrible.
WHY IS RYO SHOOTING FIREBALLS!?

My money?

Panzer Dragoon Saga 2.

Or a re-issue of Panzer Dragoon Saga.

I just doubt that a high up in Sega would consider a game that had such a limited western launch a "surprise", regardless of its cult appeal.

Same here, I couldn't get into it at all. The first game is ten kinds of clunky.

I really wasn't all about Shenmue either. It's just the kind of story-driven, quirky game I should have adored but...Who knows :hahaha:.

I'd like to wish it has something to do with Yakuza, but since the second one was just released not too long ago over there, I doubt it. >=O

I'm sure they're very epic, and I did notice that the environment was very realistic. Too bad I was bored to tears. Opening cabinets isn't that interesting.

Maybe the second one is better. I dunno. I have it but I never tried it.

I played Shenmue 2 on Xbox, which came with a DVD movie of the story from the first game--so I didn't have to worry about however potentially messed up the first one was. Shenmue 2 was gold.

I really just want a conclusion to the story, whether it's a movie or whatever. I know Shenmue burned money when they made it, but it's gotta be one of the biggest remaining cliffhangers.

I know, but... surely that's where the surprise lies? xD

And we'll have no more talk of Shenmue not being one of the most awesome and important games in the entire history of the industry, kthx.

I hope this wasn't it (http://cache.kotaku.com/assets/resources/2007/03/teaser_final.jpg). Though I guess it is surprising, in the 'out of left field' kind of way.

The NiGHTS thing is seeming more and more likely though.

But considering this (http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/23/yuji-naka-not-involved-in-any-new-nights-game/), I think chances are Sega's going to push out some abomination as a sequel that will cause mass-suicide among fanboys on an apocalyptic scale.

Ah ok. There are 2 topics on this already, but mine was first (and made by me :P) So I bump with this new bit of info.

http://ncroal.talk.newsweek.com/default.asp?item=546590

Miyamoto is going to have his hand in the game. It's still being made mostly on Sega's side (and not with Sonic Team, thankfully), but Miyamoto still has a lot of control. Still don't care much for the game, but it looks a little more attractive now.

Sega should go ahead and make a DBZ RPG

(Un)Fortunately, Bandai holds the license.

A game just came out in Japan actually, I started to play it, didn't get too far in it. If you ever played the 'Legend of the Super Saiyan' SNES rom, it seems to be a little like that with the cards.

http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-1u6b-71-9g-49-en-84-j-70-1pnv.html

Also, I don't like how the NiGHTS character looks. Something about it rubs me the wrong way.

With Cards, you say? There was an NES DBZ game that worked that way. It took place in the Freeza Saga, and depending on the amount of Dragon balls (and the amount of stars on them), you could move further on the map/board (When you're in Bulma's ship, it's more like a board.), or use certain attacks in battle.

There were four games like that for NES, actually. Legend of the Super Saiyan was a SNES version of the first game.

Ah, I see. Judging by the name, it's probably a remake of the one I'm thinking of.
