View Full Version : YOU CAN'T HAVE YANG!

I'm supposed to be going to the moon and get Fusoya, but I decided instead to get Odin and go to the Sylvan Cave. When I went to Sylvan cave and made it to this house I found a house full of fairies and Yang was asleep in a bed in the corner. They didn't let me near him and told me that I couldn't have him. I then decided to leave them alone and I went through this door that looked like it led to a platform but as soon as I stepped on it it took me out of the dungeon. WHAT'S GOING ON!

The door is supposed to take you back to the entrance. Now what you need to do is go to Fabul and talk with Yang's Wife. She should give you a frying pan that you then need to go back and use on Yang. He'll say that he's too weak to help right now, and the Sylph's will instead offer their aid, granting Rydia the ability to summon them (They will damage the enemy and distribute the total damage done back to your team as health. So if they did 1000 damage and you had a party of four, they'd each get 250 HP recovered). Go back to Yang's Wife and talk with her to get the Spoon Dagger, a thrown weapon that al ways does 9999 damage.

If you're playing FFIVA, Yang will join you after the Giant of Babel is defeated.

Yang isn't a bad character, he's a lot better then Edge ever will be.

Lol at Yang vs Edge.. both suck horribly and are better dead as they only steal exp or serve as meat shield.. I dont know what Square was thinking about the 5 character thing... this should have been a 4 character final fantasy without Edge

Yang was the Cyan before Cyan was around (personality wise), he rules IMO.

It would rule more if he wasnt dead before being able to use it... The guy dies faster than Rydia, its absurd

Too true. I just beat the final dungeon with a level 63 Yang. He PWNs everything in his path.


Meanwhile, Edge dies and does low damage for a fighting character.

Yang is COMPLETELY useless, but i found that as long as Edge has two weapons, he deals more than Cecil sometimes.

Another non-useless fighter would be great, to go with Cecil, Rosa, Kain, and Edage to the final battle would be awesome.

That would be Cid the tank in that scenario. However Rydia's too goddamn awesome to leave behind for any reason.

If you diont have any of the extra summons (i.e. Bahumut/Asura etc.) she's fairly useless.

Yang is awesome. One of my all-time faves, combat- and personality- wise.

-aga suffixed magicks, Flare, and Meteor are still useful however.

You could always use Palom for those, but you'd still have the issue of wall/reflect.
