Vanish magic

Anyone use Vanish? What good is it since Gambits make them do something else and cancel the Invisible state?

The only use I can see is holding R2 to flee after casting Vanish so no one does anything and they can flee without detection.

I used Vanishga to help me sprint in for the Zodiac Spear when I was way too low of a level for such things, but other then that I didn't bother with it. Square probably only tossed it in so that voyeur fanficion would be much easier to make.

I became invisible for about 1 second. And that 1 second was over once a monster attacked me. :/
