Im having trouble getting gil to buy weapons/armour etc. does anyone know a good source of gil (only level 18 having just witnessedthe destruction of the Leviathan cruiser)

Lhusu Mines, chain skeletons, get bone fragment at $193 gil a piece. Buy all the Monographs in the Bazaar you can (they make fiends drop better loot).

Have the following gambits:

Foe: HP=100% / Steal
Foe: HP=Critical / Poach (gets good loot at the expense of giving no EXP)

And as soon as you can, get to Nam-Yensa Sandsea, Simoons Bluff (near the tomb of raythwall). The Bagoly there drop "Bent Staff" at $1,100 a piece one out of 4 times (if you have all books). Also at Nam Yensa the Axelbeak drop Rainbow Eggs ($500) and at Ogir Yensa the Alraune drop succulent fruit ($200ish)

Do hunts. Also just train man. Get to level 20 or something. :p

Don't buy a monograph yet. Wait till later in the game cause for me at least I wasn't about to go spend 20,000 gil on something when it took me so long just to get that much!!!

You can see all your non needed weapons for gil also. When you get to one of the final hunts you will be blown away by one of the rewards. :D

Hahahaha (Big fat mans laugh) I'm getting so wealthy these days, soon as i leveled up! That's my advice mate, no need to say thanks!

i found jus selling all the drops i have got has been enough to keep my armour weapons up2date throughout the game, however i did go as long as possible till i had to buy new gear :D
