License Board - Weapons / Armor

Is it possible to fill out the whole board on each character, so that everyone can/could equip anything they like and cast anything they like?

I ask, because I recently found a Mage Masher after buying a Broadsword and getting the license points for it. So I'd need to buy the dagger 1 license to equip the Mage Masher, though I've already started Vaan down the 1-handed sword path.

So if I were to get him dagger now, can I still get all the swords for him? I guess this also goes for the armor -- I have Heavy 1 armor and Light 2 armor, but not sure which one would be more suited to Vaan.

(BTW I'm level 10 just before entering the palace.)

Yes, it is (to the question about getting every license). Since the amount of license points you can earn is unlimited. In the beginning it would be a good idea to use your LP carefully, because you don't have much to use right now.

It all depends on your personal playing style when you're deciding which licenses you want to obtain. Have a general idea of how you want to build each character before you start spending LP, that way you don't waste points if you want to change something. If you want Vaan to be a more speed-oriented character, it would be a good idea to give him daggers and light armor at the moment. However, if you want him to be a more hard-hitting character, then go with the swords and heavy armor.

I see, I think I'd rather have Vaan go as a speedy-thief/shield kind of guy. And I have a fair few Augements at the moment (I think the next one for me to get is 50 license points).
