I had a dream where there were multiple ghosts of varying colours chasing me in a labyrinth. However, once I had eaten enough Ecstasy, they disappeared, only to reappear in another maze.

Sometimes Cherries would show up and I would just have to run at them.

I really don't know what these ghosts wanted... Or why I had to eat all those pills...

*Sigh* Alright!

A ghost is usually defined as the of a deceased person, frequently similar in appearance to that person, and encountered in places he or she frequented, or in association with the person's former belongings. The word "ghost" may also refer to the spirit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit) or soul (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul) of a deceased person, or to any spirit or demon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demon).[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost#_note-thefreedictionary) Ghosts are often associated with haunting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haunting), which is, according to the Parapsychological Association (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parapsychological_Association), "the more or less regular occurrence of paranormal phenomena (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paranormal_phenomena) associated with a particular locality (especially a building) and usually attributed to the activities of a discarnate entity; the phenomena may include apparitions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apparitional_experience), poltergeist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poltergeist) disturbances, cold drafts, sounds of steps and voices, and various odors."[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost#_note-parasych)
Ghosts are controversial (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controversy) phenomena. According to a poll conducted in 2005 by the Gallup Organization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallup_Organization), about 32% of Americans believe in the existence of ghosts.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost#_note-gallup) The term ghost has been replaced by apparition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apparitional_experience) in parapsychology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parapsychology), because the word ghost is deemed insufficiently precise.[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost#_note-0)
PLAUSIBLE

1)
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/bb/FremantlePrisonWindowIllusion.JPG/180px-FremantlePrisonWindowIllusion.JPGGhostly face of a murderer or just rippled glass? This image is undoctored, and many claim it shows a ghost. Others, however, say it is an illusion caused by the way the light hits ripples in the glass.

2)
http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/gettys.jpg
This picture was taken by Chris Payne of Woodbridge, New Jersey at the Gettysburg National Battlefield in 1988. The camera used was a simple 110 Instamatic with a flash around dusk. Next to Terri Payne and by the wheel of the cannon can clearly be seen a strange bluish white mist. No other picture on the roll displayed anything similar in configuration. Closer examination seems to indicate a face within the fog. It was not visible to the naked eye.

http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/weird.jpg
Not much is known about the circumstances behind this strange picture. However it was taken by a total stranger through a Nokia 7250 picture-phone at Eastwood City in Manilla when a strange ghostly figure was seen apparently grabbing the arm of one of the women in the picture. Nothing was seen or felt at the time the picture was taken but it seems to be quite a friendly spirit.

<!-- BEGIN LINKSECTION --> This photograph was taken by Christophe DiCesare who was a student at Geneseo State University of New York in 1985. The photograph was taken in Erie Hall Dorm, Room C2D1. The ghost was called "Tommy" by those who were involved, and it turned out, after much research was thought be to that of a young boy of the same name who had hung himself at the college several years earlier. Strange drafts were also felt by many in the room. One evening, the student was shocked to look up and see a very life-like apparition of a male youth wearing a striped rugby shirt, his head tilted to one side. Objects were very often moved and cold spots experienced. This photograph is an enlargement and shows a skeletal figure to the right of man in the poster, who is Bill Rodgers , a 4-time winner of both the New York City and Boston Marathons. This is only one of a handful of such images where no figure shows up but only the skeleton! The ribs, spinal cord and pelvis can clearly be seen in this image! It was captured with a 35MM camera.
FAKE
1)
http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/fake/reflection_1.jpg
In the upper left of this picture there appears to be a small floating globe of bright light, with a reddish tint and some sort of "pseudo pod" extending to the right.
http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/fake/reflection_2.jpg
<!-- BEGIN LINKSECTION --> Closer inspection reveals it to be a stop sign in the distance, several hundred feet beyond the area illuminated by the flash. Stop signs are designed to be highly reflective, and even though it was in the distance, it reflected enough of the flash to appear much brighter than its surroundings.
2)
http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/fake/last.jpg
The first and last picture can sometimes have a strange red, yellow or orange glow on the fringe. It can occur on either the left or right side of the frame depending if it was the first or last picture on a roll. This is caused by faulty handling and loading the film in more direct sunlight. Always load your film in subdued lighting conditions.
3)
http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/fake/strap.jpg
<!-- BEGIN LINKSECTION --> One of the most accidental and often photographed anomalies is the Camera Strap. When taking photographs and often tilting the camera 90 degrees to one side, i.e. the vertical rather than the horizontal, camera straps can and will be photographed as bright white "vortexes" that always appear the same. They have serrated edges much like a steak knife and are looping images. They are paranormal in anyway. Solution: remove your strap before taking pictures or make sure it's behind the camera at all times or around your neck.

Taken in 1959 by Mable Chinnery, this famous ghost photo has an intriguing
story. After visiting the grave of her mother, Mable turned and took a picture
of her husband, who was waiting for her in the car. What Mable didn't expect
was her mother coming along for the ride!
2)
http://www.angelsghosts.com/sitebuilder/images/baby_ghost_famous_ghost_picture_photo_383-501x348.jpg
Around 1946, this ghost photo was taken in Queensland, Australia by Mrs.
Andrews who was taking a picture of her 17 year old daughter's grave. Mrs
Andrews was surprised by the ghostly image of a baby looking at her when the
picture was developed.

Mrs. Andrews maintains that no children were in the area, so a double
exposure was impossible, and that she did not recognize the baby at all.

Others who have visited the grave site have found the graves of two baby girls
nearby. Could this baby over the grave be one of them?

http://www.jesusreligion.com/brown_lady_ghost.jpg
Taken in 1936 during a photo shoot for Country Life magazine by Indra Shira,
this famous real ghost picture of an apparition descending the stairs has been
viewed round the world. Indra saw the white form taking shape and ordered his
assistant to snap a picture of the staircase. His assistant, who did not see the
white vapor, bet Shira that nothing would be in the picture - he lost five English
punds on the bet.

The home this famous, real ghost picture was captured in is Raynham Hall in
Norfolk. King George the IV of England and others had seen a ghost deemed
the Brown Lady before this photo was taken. She has not been seen since this
1936 photo.

\Coments/

Hello ,

My dad just analyzed the picture of the Brown lady ghost (Famous 1936 ghost
apparition descending stairs appeared in photo) using a magnifying glass and
he noticed the lady is descending with 2 little kids. In fact we can notice that the
one on her left (your right) is a little girl with a round hat and she is looking at her
right (your left) ... I can see it too ... Use a magnifying glass and you will notice it
... Very interesting uhhh ???

Thanks and regards,

Miguel Martinez Jr.

I'm not sure, when I was really young my grandmother died. Apparently me, my aunt and some old woman distantly related to me somehow all saw her that night. Apparently I woke up and said I saw her, thinking nothing of it. It was ages ago so I can't remember.
Tis freaky stuff.

Thank you so fucking much, BR, for hitting Control+C and then subsequently hitting Control+V

The Holy Ghost is a fabrication, Iri.

Until shown empirical proof, ghosts are nothing but stories told by people pre-disposed to believing such things due to the circumstances surrounding their supposed sightings, their own personal makeup of emotions and spirituality, their ignorance of various natural phenomena, or their inability to identify things for what they are.

A superstitious or mystical explanation is much easier to produce than one that is grounded.

I beleive in ghosts mainly because there is one in my house...When i was younger my parents would hear me conversing w/ someone in the middle of the night and one day they asked me who i was talking to and i described the man...the description i gave was pertty much exactly of the former owner of this house who actually died in it...my mom also has felt a hand touch her while she is in our kitchen sometimes at night (which is adjacent to the room in which I used to talk to him). I also often get that feeling that someone is behind me but that's probably just my nerves. Orbs often turn up in pics i take in my room, but since I'm not sure if these truly signify a ghost I won't post them

These stories are freaking me out since I'm home a lone and I'm a wuss.

I do sort of believe in spirits but not so much ghosts. Although, I do have a few ghost stories. I'll post them later when I'm not being lazy.

You did put obviously a lot of effort into explaining what a ghost is but I'm pretty sure everyone here knows what a ghost is.
