so i was doing some levelling to beat some marks and was killing skeletons in lhusu mines, with the intention of getting a high chain. before i knew it i had a chain of 130 enemies.

before i get too ran away with my self i wanted to know ot r the highest chains uve all got? and where were they? killing what?

my 2nd best was 109

This can be done easily in the Stillshrine of Miriam.

Spending a ridiculous amount of time on repetitive quests in order to get some item that I probably don't need doesn't really tickle my fancy, I'm afraid.

Over 130 in the Lhusu mines. Can't remember the number exactly. I only go for huge chains like that when I need cash or something. It's way to boring to do regularly, and I could never make it to several hundred myself. I have neither the time nor the patience.

Before you equip the dawn shard, have any chracter touch the pedestal that opens the doors. 3 skeletons will spawn. Kill them. Touch the pedestal again....

Rinse, repeat for as many times you'd like :D I stopped at 150.

PS: They drop Blood Stained bone, a $$$ loot. So it's a gil trick too. Ca-ching! :love:

Like 340 something in the NamYensa Sandsea. It's really easy there, because you have those annoying little humanoids.
If you can avoid the pumpkin heads, it goes very far.

Fighting Negalmuur is easier, faster, and doesn't require you to even be present. Jack the speed up and walk away for a number of hours and you'll see a 999 chain, and notice that your characters have gained a few levels.

Most likely, you'll have gathered 99 of everything the Ghasts drop, which will equate to around 75000 Gil.

all i know was my best was sumthin like 101 at the sand sea. i heard from variuos sites that getting 300 or so gives you speachial bazaar items. im in the prosess of compleating it again cuz i want to get all the side quests but iv only managed to find 2 or 3?

I know that the killed monsters drop items - specialy with chain
but I get bored quickly

My newest recored was in the Stilshrine of Miriam I killed Zombies to gain, EXP and LP. Got a chain on 350 before I got tired of it, just through walking through two zones nearby escaping from all enimes that wasn´t Zombies made it easy to respawn all the Zombies over and over again.

You can get an infinite chain quite easily in the Lhusu Mines. The room where you fight (or run from) Ba'Gamnan and the room right before it have nothing except skeletons in it, and each room will respawn while you clear out the other. Maybe once you unlock the other side of the mine that changes, but before that it is really easy to get chains however high you want.

I was sad enough to video my game getting from 99 to 100 in a Kill Chain in the Sandsea. I ended up with 150 by the end though, after wandering onwards.
