Possible Spoilers.....

okay two questions, i was running around the feywood trying to get the behemoth king mark to appear which he finally did, so i killed him then went up a screen into the other shrine area and all of a sudden i was swarmed by the mardragoras you fight from sochen cave palace.
so ok i killed those, went back up to the save crystal and saved, then cause i need snake eyes for the tournesol i went back down to kill some snakes and lo and behold no monsters were to be found only the mandragoras running around but they were immensly strong, one hit ko'd my party in five seconds. so i reloaded and bubbled, braveryed, hasted and protected and went back and they started one hitting my team again, i managed to get a couple of strikes in and didnt do any damage!! it actually came up saying 0 damage, with a zodiak and ultima weapons!! what is going on!!!!???? bearing in mind that my guys were at level 92-93 by this point.
plus according to my bestiary i need 13 more of each of the mandragoras to finish the feywood section.
anyone got any answers??

okay second question. to anyone who has the bradygames strategy guide, have you noticed it seems to have a lot of errors in it? i mean lots? faulty information, or no complete maps for areas that arent main walkthrough bits? and such like?
would the piggyback one be better to have?

..Faulty information? Such as? The maps look fine to me. I'm happy with the guide, I've never bought a Piggyback one before. As long as this guide helps me do what I want, I will be satisfied. Bradygames has done well so far.

Dumb question to ask..are you sure your weapons were equipped? XD

Yeah, they Feywoods mandragoras are ridiculously powerful, and lethal in swarms. Try to isolate them, and do it one at a time.

uhh thanks setzer nice and friendly there yes my bleedin weapons were equiped yet for some reason none of em were doin any damage.

as for the bradygames strategy guide for example it doesnt have all the map for the barheim passage only what is actually used in the main game not the zalura sidequest areas or anything.
it doesnt tell you how to make gemsteels for the tournesol i had to look online for the ingrediants. that sort of thing.

I finaly got the brady guide and believe it or not, it is better than the japanese Ultimania guides (I have all 3).

The map for Zalera is on page 235, on the Hidden Espers section.

You can always go to my web site, I have all the maps loaded up in my wiki

The only map that the brady guide doesn't have hidden somewhere in it (though there is a description to get to all three major events within it) is the Crystal at Giruvegan. Which is a bitch when you wonder down there for the sole purpose of finding Excalibur...

and the only typos i can remember in the bradygames strategy guide was that the mini-map location caption for ultima said zertinan caverns instead of the great crystal. and for two of the hunts, they mixed around the captions for a hunt in the necrohol of nabudis and the airship.

anyways, i faced those mandragoras at like lvl 70. i casted scathe on them and it worked really well. they were usually in a pack when i fought them so 2 hits of scathe beat their asses

just wanted to let you know the the piggyback guide is a must. it really is awesome (as are all final fantasy piggyback guides) but this really is the best one by far. Consider it a final fantasy XII bible if you will.

Jeah, it is really a masterpiece.. Only critic: They have only 30 of 80 rare enemies listed! :(
