My online order has just been processed, and my new computer set-up should arrive in a week or two.

Here are some comparisons to illustrate how happy I am about this:

old computer: 633 MHz processor; 64 MB RAM (upgraded to 192 MB); 15 GB hard drive; 14 in. monitor. Upgraded to Windows XP.

new computer: 2.2 GHz pr. 2,000MHz bus speed; 1GB RAM (upgradable to 4GB); 320 GB hd; 17 LCD flat screen monitor. Running Vista.

It's not exactly the top of the line, but in my case it's the difference between the vacuum tube and the microchip!

From riding a bicycle to driving a car. That's the biggest upgrade for me. xD

I got glasses a week ago. It was like upgrading my graphics card: everything was sharper and more detailed.

Good luck with the new rig.

Recently trying to upgrade tiscali to faster speed has been a pain in the arse, so I wont say that. Upgrading a computer's hardware in any way is always a big happy feeling, like a new hard drive I got recently, space is like BLISS.

:D Yeah, I got new glasses a couple of years ago. The glasses I had before that were loooooonggg overdue.

Wow, my dad would love you. He's one of the leading advocates of the "Bill Gates is Evil Foundation."

Actually, I'm just starting to look at upgrading to a new computer. This one's still very nice, but it's getting a bit old, and new games just can't be handled anymore.

The motherboard supports up to 4GB. He only has 1GB, though.

I will soon update Nominus Experse from Home Edition v19.5 to the upcoming College Edition v1.0. However, to compensate for the costs of the future College Edition, I will run Nominus Experse - once again - with the popular mod Boring-ass Job v3.0.5

my ex-girlfriend to my current one..lol.

hmm....upgrade from driving like a '89 cutlass to a '95 f-150 that only had like 65k miles when i started driving it. that cutlass was a trooper though. it probably had more time in the air than on pavement.

Old: Speakers that crackle, and painfully short cords.

New: Speakers that don’t crackle (yet), has longer cords, and a volume knob.

Apologies if I did not use correct terminology.

Imagine all the porn you could store!

And don't worry Meat Puppet, I barely know what I'm talking about when I list specs., but they're easy to read off the front of the PC. :p
