What is Ozma?

Ive been thinking, what the hell is that thing? But then again I think I seen something like it on the discovery channel talking about aliens helped build the pyramids for the Egyptions. And I remember seeing a ball like that. Dont call me wierd or anything but thats what I think I saw. It was years back. I still havent beat that thing yet. Besides my disc 4 wont work but I might give it a shot once I clean it. If it still works which I doubt.

A powerful otherworldly force, if Mene's response is to give any sway. Ozma's found in what Zidane calls an "eidolon cave," so maybe it's related to that. Or, maybe a beachball achieved ultimate Trance. :p

I don't know if this helps, but Ozma is also the name of true ruler of the Land of Oz (although the Wizard filled in for a while) in the Oz books.

Although it could simply be a transliterated Japanese word.

I alway's considered Ozma to be a bigger, tougher version of the 2-Faced enemy from Corel Prison in FFVII. I'm not sure if it look's exactly the same, it's been a while since I've played VII, but it alway's remined me of Ozma whenever I ran into one.

If you are too lazy to read it, basically, it says that Ozma is a long dead, or forgotten Eidolon. Since it said in the game the Eidolons were born from and took the form of the way people believed from legends, it is assumed that Ozma lost his original from, (or rather, took the from of a swirling ball of death) because the memories of people who still remembered his form were long gone and those people were probably long gone too.

Also, it is assumed that Ozma was dead too, since the Bradygames FFIX Strategy Guide says that the thing that you touch to fight Ozma was an "Eidolon Grave." (Then again, the guide wasn't too good in my opinion; after all, that's where the whole "Ragtime Mouse" thing came which people said instead of the game's name, "Ragtimer")

In short, he was the most powerful Eidolon (though arguably Alexander might be stronger) that was long forgotten/dead.

He is also the toughest boss in FFIX and in my opinion, the toughest of the whole FF series.

I think Ozma is just a huge spinning superball. If he/she/it is anything else, maybe Ozma is some kind of an Eidolon since I think you fight him/her/it in a place called the Eidolon Grave.
