What would you do if you saw someone seriously injured lying in the road?

Me? I might just ignore him :(

I'd call an ambulance and either try to help or bugger off depending what i was doing (unless they were wearing a Man U shirt in which case i'd kick em)

I'm no good with injured people so I'd probably get someone else to check them out.

It depends, I don't trust people, I would ignore him/her if I would smell something fishy.

If there were other people around I would just leave "nothing happened".
If I was alone and sure that he/she is hurt I would help right away no matter how serious the accident was.
If he/she was a friend I would run there right away without second thought.

I don't know how to aid injured people, so i'd call somebody who does

Pull over, call 911, and see what can be done to help the injured person. Anything else would be criminal.

I would call an ambulance but I wouldn't mess around with the person cuz I could make things worse. Unless, the person could speak and was telling me to do something and directly telling em what to do and how to stope blood or something.

Ask them what the number for 911 is.

When someone stole a bike from us my mom ran outside and asked the people outside that very question.:( Then she relized how ridiculouse that was and ran back inside to call the cops.:p

Make an attempt to bandage and wounds or lacerations with anything available, call the emergency line immediately, and stay with the person trying to keep them consoled until a trained professional came to assist and get them to a doctor.

How serious is 'serious'? As in 'almost dead' serious? Military medics (as far as I know) follow a general rule, particularly when dealing with mass casualties. You fix the people who are the *least* dead first, then move along to the rest. Someone who is near death, will likely die. If you try to save him, someone else who might not have been that bad--like with a leg shot off--could get a lot worse in the time you try to save someone who has half their body missing. Just an example.

I have basic CPR and paramedic training, so depending how bad it is I could do stuff. Often the best thing to do is to in fact leave them alone, but if you can assess the situation properly you can determine if the position they are in will cause them more harm than if you were to move them. First thing you always do though, is call for an ambulance.

If there is blood about the place, stay away from it. It's fine to be a hero, but if you die months later of AIDS or something because you caught it from this person's blood, it's not so great. Unless you *are* a professional, in situations like this you should only intervene as a last resort.

I let professionals take care of it. Y'know? Call an ambulance and whatnot. I might stick around just to keep the person company while help is arriving, but I'm not taking care of the person myself.

I'd phone for help then talk all optimistic like to try and keep things calm and such, but I wouldn't do anything else. I'd be too afraid I'd hurt him or her worse, and then I'd get sued or something. It'd be just my luck to help a person that turns out to be an asshole and takes all my money for it.

roll a heal check

srsly, if they're coherent, ask if you can help them...if they don't answer or say no, call 911, ensure they aren't going to get run over, and wait for help to arrive.

I would do what any decent person would do, call an ambulance and do my best to help.

People who ignore seriously injured persons aren't worth the air they're consuming.

I don't trust people very much but iam certainly not going to let someone die because I couldn't help them. I would approach the person very aggressive like and talk in a strong voice making sure this is for real and it's serious. After that I would comfort the person and call the ambulance. Not helping them because iam not a trained professional is naive I would do whatever I can to mend his injury if need be taking of my shirt and tying up his wounds (if he's bleeding) or whatever else it takes, at this point its worth helping someone live.

I've gone through a few mandatory basic first aid courses during middle and high school, so me helping someone would definitely be better than that person not getting any help at all.

Ask if they would like thier Last Rites.

Really, I would kneel down and see if they were dead or not. If they were dead I would pray for them, and if not I would call someone for help. :o

Yeah, I would help. Why somebody wouldn't simply call an ambulance is beyond me.

i know cpr so i'd secure the are, scan for any signs of external injuries while on the phone with the proper medical professionals. After they take me through the steps i'd stay with the person or persons till proper help arrived and i was no longer needed.
