I remember the good old days when i used to take my skip rope and run outside to my friends house. We used to be crazy jump-ropers but Double Dutch was always hard for me to do.

So tell me your fondest memories of jump rope days or what your favorite style is :monster:

I used to try to jump rope when I was a small child, but I would usually just end up smashing my knees on the concrete.

I couldn't jump rope, and I couldn't punch for $8.00.

Now I can jump rope on one foot (It's all I got left anyhow), and I can hammer a punching bag or a punching person like you can hammer the broad side of a barn.

Actually, I'm not missing a leg. That's simply a very tasteless joke at the expense of one-legged people.

Not getting tangled in the rope and not falling on my butt for a change.

I was terrible at it!

I hate jumproping alone for exercise, but those games that you play when you're a kid were always a lot of fun. There was one that I can't remember the name of...something to do with rats. Anyways, that was definitely my favourite. And it wasn't even really jumproping, now that I think about it. Just running back and forth trying not to get hit with the thing.

Never could jump rope. I blame it on my long legs, and lack of interest in really trying. Or maybe it was the fact that I used the rope to tie my brother up and lock him in the closet. Hmm....

I read the thread title as Double Dash and getting ready to move it.

Yeah, that's all I have to add. Deal with it!

I never tried it till I was about 9 thinking I'd be rubbish given the fact I was a boy and hadn't attempted it. Actually I wasn't as bad as I thought, I guess you could say I surprised myself, or maybe it's just so ridiculously easy and something only a retard would fail at

The styles actually have names? I never skipped much rope, and the few times I did, I would get to 10 or so before I failed.

I loved jump roping! Ah, elementary school days. xD I wasn't any good at double dutch, so I just liked it when there was one huge long rope. Those were the days.
