View Full Version : This thread is about waffles.
As I sit here munching my breakfast - Scrambled eggs and Eggo waffles, I am curious as to what you top your waffle goodness with? My ideal waffle consists of strawberries and whipped cream but due to lacking in the strawberries and cream department, I opted to use strawberry jelly. Slightly inferior, but decent either way!

Every other breakfast option > waffles. :D
BUT butter and syrupy stuff is good enough, no hot sauce. >:(

Yeah, strawberries and whipped cream are pretty good. Hot boysenberry is also pretty nice. Wait ... that was for pancackes ...
But usually since I eat strawberries with something else, I don't have any left over for waffels. So just butter and warm syrup is good, too.

Waffles are awesome, but they're not breakfast imho. It's a dessert.
I usually top them with just sugar, butter is good too.

I eat my waffles frozen. They have ice in them. ^_^

I have a variation on whip cream and strawberries...
I whip up some cream by hand and mix in crushed raspberries, fold in liberal amounts of sugar (to lessen the slight sourness of raspberries), mix it in with a beater, and then proceed to dollop on giant amounts of it and some syrup on real waffles made with a waffle-iron. This is something that everyone should try once in their lives, since it's absoultely delicious. I would bet it's also a good idea for breakfast on your girlfriend/wife's birthday too, guys.

Waffles is definately an American thing as we in Britain hardly ever have Waffles. The only time I had Waffles at breakfast was in New York. Good ol Full English Breakfast for me though, Waffles dont seem right in the morning.

Yeah man, I had these elite waffles with like ice cream and hot chocolate sauce once and powdered sugar, it was epic win.
Never had them other than that though :monster:

I love waffles just with butter and as much maple syrup as they can soak up. :p I've never really tried them with whipped cream or various assortments of jams, but I don't think I'd like them as much. The syrup+waffle+butter flavor is perfect.

Butter and syrup, not that junk you Americans have, but real maple syrup.

I don't think Ive ever had one.
I don't even like the British breakfast. I had one in Spain, and I just didn't like it. Eating hot food in a morning is unnatural.
Hot cross buns or cereal ftw.

A half bottle of maple syrup per waffle is all I need.
