how do you get the combat magazine number 3
i heard you can only get it on disc 1 from the girl with the pigtail at the libary, when and where does she give it to you though?

yes, you can get the mag from the pigtail girl, but only on disk three, and only after doing a sidequest.

Here's what I found at gamefaqs


After saving Balamb Town, you will occasionally find a girl at the entrance of the town or at the train there. Talk to her and she will mention something like, "Hey, zell, do you know a girl at the Garden with a pigtail?" Note that Zell must be in your party. Next, go to Zell's house, and talk to his mom, and then check in at the Balamb Hotel. The next morning, simply search the counter in the hotel to recieve it.

another question, for some reason i cant find the first timber maniacs, i know its by the train signal but i cant pick it up anywhere, i got the one from the balamb hotel first, does this make the first one unavaliable

where you get on the train to timber theres a signal traffic light like pole, the timber maniacs is normally there but now its not:(

I believe you can't have both the one at the hotel and the one by the train signal. It's either of them.
