Alright... who here has actually seen or heard of this musical? Time to see who are the drama club geeks in the EoFF forums.

For those who don't know, Avenue Q is a musical parady of Sesame Street set within the actual real world... except with puppets. With wonderful songs like "What Do You Do With a BA in English", "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist", "My Girlfriend Who Lives in Canada", and my personal favorite "It Sucks to be Me".

It pretty much tells the story of how Sesame Street would really be and guess what Gary Coleman is in it:eek: (Actually it's a look alike but they are actually playing Gary Coleman).

So discuss!

The Original Cast Recording is one of the most played things on my iPod. I've yet to actually see the entire thing live though. When I go to New York this summer, it's one of the must-see things.

I keep meaning to see this in London. I must stop procrastinating about it.

I heard great things about Avenue Q when it came over to the West End, but I was a little underwhelmed when I actually saw it. It's good, certainly, but not quite as challenging or outrageous as some reviewers make out. I'd still recommend seeing it, though, as some of the songs are brilliant, especially "It Sucks to be Me" and "The Internet is for Porn". :D

I've been considering asking if I can understudy the big monster that sings about porn, since I can do a perfect imitation of him. ;)
