'kay so since I was spamming Cura a lot when I was just playing, doing that Sochen cave palace and whatnot, I noticed that whoever casts the spell tends to heal themself for about 400 HP less than the other two characters. Is this happening for anyone else? What the hell is the deal with THAT :mad2:

also, on a completely random side note, does anyone else find it an incredible pain in the arse that your characters insist on sheathing and drawing their weapons in battle areas? It annoys me when they randomly stop running to sheathe everything or decide to do it when I'm about to press a treasure chest/door and end up going into the command menu. :mad2:

That character probably has a higher Magick Defense than the other two. It works both ways, you know?

Sheathing weapons while fleeing got EXTREMELY annoying.

Not rly, all my characters have the same magick defense, and not only that, it happens with different characters. Example, Ashe casts cura, heals 900 on herself, 1300ish on Vaan and Balthier, Vaan casts Cura, heals 800 on himself and 1200ish on Balthier and Ashe. It's pretty ghetto. :{

Oh my D: I never noticed a healing difference for me, but I wasn't really paying attention. I was going to say you must not be using Ashe and God hates you for it, but you are...and no higher power hurts those that use Ashe.

The weapons thing did bother me after a while. It's one of those really small things that shouldn't have gotten on my nerves, yet it did. I wish they would just keep the goddamn weapons out all the time. But after a while I didn't notice it anymore, so meh. =3

I thought the drawing weapons was cool. you just have to watch for the ! when going for doors or chests.

I DO watch for it, but then they decide to sheathe there weapons right as I press X and it takes me into the command menu instead of opening the chest/door. It's fail :{

true,the caster usually gets the lowest heal,i'm afraid we cant change that,

and yes,but it would really suck if they just keep on holding their sword forever, no realism..:love:

Not really, I would think that keeping your weapons out when you're running through a dungeon that you know is inhabited by large amounts of powerful monsters that want to kill you that could pop out of anywhere at any time makes the uptmost sense. :monster:

Another point about the effects of healing spells.

If you have the Serenity licence (Magic Power increases when HP is at max) this can throw your healing effect off a bit. The game recalculates the numbers for each person, so you heal a bit when you heal yourself, but now you're at full, so you heal the others a bit more.

ah, that's an epic call. I'll test that out more when I play it later on. :monster:

Do Balthier and Ashe have that Augment for "Potions heal more HP" ?

Everyone has those now I think. :monster:

It could be the reason Vaan heals less...

if you had to walk through a dungeon with monsters everywhere holding your sword up the whole time your arm would fall off from tiredness you dum!

They should just withdraw the sword when they've actually been ordered to attack somehow, that would solve the problem which is rather annoying at times.
And the curing thing... I've never really noticed, doesn't seem to be a cause for concern anyway. As long as they stay alive right? >.>

Steub's epic serenity call proved to be totally correct. The amount it effects magick is awesome. :D

Whoa!
I never noticed that.No wonder Vaan died quicklier :(

Drawing weapons in and out is not really annoying.I thought it was cool

Yay for Serenity! That's why I have my "lowest HP person" as my healer, so even though the total amount restored is lower for the caster, it's still a good percentage of their maximum HP!
