Sirs!

Currently, I have one PC3600 512MB DDR RAM card in my computer. I want to buy another 512 card to get myself up to one gig.

Would the card I buy have to be PC3600? What does that mean anyway? eBay lists nothing for it, but 2700s are everywhere.

Muchos gracias, senor(a)s.

Most of the time motherboards will support multiple ram speeds.
If yours supports PC3600, then it should support PC3200 and PC2700 but there is no guarentee and finding out what motherboard you have is ideal.

Sticking a PC2700 in with a PC3600 will usually just cause the PC3600 to clockdown to the PC2700 speeds. However there may be some cases where it just doesn't work.

PC# is a speed rating for memory
PC2100 is 266mhz
PC2700 is 333mhz
PC3200 is 400mhz
and so on.

sorry for not being alot of help.
