Hello people,

I'm trying to find some good quality rock music.........but not like normal rock, the tracks on CD's that are like the ballads.

To get a VERY good explanation of what kind of slow rock songs I mean, see The 69 Eyes "Star of Fate", and Entwines "Everything for you" and "frozen by the sun" also "Nothing's Forever"

Band around these kind of songs are also HIM and The Rasmus.

Please check those songs out if you havent heard of them, they will tell you EXACTLY what kind of music I'm talking about.

Any help to songs like these would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, well if you like HIM and Rasmus you'll probably like these:

Sonata Arctica - Letter to Dana, Last Drop Falls, Talullah,

and other songs from the same band.

I might be stretching it, but The Cure might do it for you. :monster:

Apolcalyptica's strings can most definitely pull on one's emotions.

Ryan Adam's Love is Hell album is something quiet and slow, though only tinged with sadness. It has more of a feeling that has one sigh whilst listening to it.

"I Won't See You Tonight" by Avenged Sevenfold does it for me. In fact out of all the bands I've ever listened to, this the only one whose slow songs I actually liked.

I'd agree, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be his style.

but if you ask for "slow rock music that gives you a sad feeling" then GYBE is the obvious response.

Clearly, their stuff is unparalleled.
