FF6 IS SUPERIOR TO ANY OTHER FINAL FANTASY GAME IN ANY WAY EVER

/fanboy

No but seriously Final Fantasy 6 is better than anything.

Final Fantasy X...save your wrath for later.
Final Fantasy VIII...defeat the final boss with a few Aura spells.

The only Final Fantasys with limit systems that I have played are 7 & 8, and I can’t even remember the differences between them. I guess I’m just going to bite the bullet and say

EDIT: 7 or whatever.

Really none of the Limit systems were that great. VI's was so fickle you could never use it effectively. VII's was annoying as hell since you couldn't attack. VIII's was far to easy to abuse and highly overpowered, IX's was far to rare to be any good.

When I think about it X's was actually allright.

Did FF6 even have a limit system? XD

My faves is elevens. Whether it's the weapon skills or the 2hrs, they're both highly rewarding when used correctly, and you can appreciate them more. Skillchains rawk also.

I also love Quickenings, and Overdrives... Hmmm...

I definatly think X. Because it can't really be abused, nor is it rare, and it can be saved for later.

X was the only one that was implemented properly so it's useful without being too easily abused. (It's still pretty abusable, though. :P)

I'll go with X. Like Roto said, it's useful without being totally abuseable. Pretty much all of them except FFVI and FFIX were completely abuseable though, but the sheer randomness of the FFVI and FFIX systems greatly reduced their usefulness.

I agree. Which shocks me.
All I do know is that TRANCE SUCKED BALLS.

I'll say 7 because that was the first taste of limit i had.

Either 7 or 10. They're both pretty similar, except 7 doesn't have an attack function, and 10 has way less limits for each character and they're also easier to gain. I like how 7 had lots of limits and also a 7th hidden one.

9 is annoying when you get into trance against a weak monster.

6 is annoying because you almost never get to see them

8 had cool limits, but it was too abuseable like someone mentioned. Quistis' blue magic was cool.

7 it is.

FFIX was the coolest trance was awesome pleanty of limits and you could use a few in each trance. only flaw is if an enemy hits you and you go into trance but then your next character finishes the battle the trance isn't carried over.

FF7 grate to use, i have a trick to leval it up quike, Only problem is attack is remove
FF8, extramly common reduces its rarity
FF9, trance no keepable
FF10, simmlar to FF7's, only new ways to improve it (e.g overdrive mode change), as well as difent ways to do them.

I like how in X you can choose how you want the limit gauge to fill up.

VIII and X, cause they're so easy to abuse

I liked ffx's overdrives because they were super flexible; change the overdrive modes or give other characters your overdrive bar etc.
