I am saying no more to this game after all my earlier promlems with my memory card(don't want it to effect all my other games)

What's the deal with your memory card? If it's not working, you should certainly replace it.

It's still no reason to be giving up on XII. Take it into a local game store, get them to take a look at it or something. If it's a faulty game, doubt it is, then if you have a receipt for the game, exchange it. If it's a faulty memory card, get a new memory card.

Well if you ever intend to play your PS2 again, you should probably still get a new memory card.
