Ever had songs that you've really liked and then your mind or someone else's warps what is actually being sung so that you can never again listen to that song the same way.

Here's something for all who like Nightwish (this includes me, and I cannot listen to their song "Wishmaster" the same any longer... http://youtube.com/watch?v=gg5_mlQOsUQ

I have many other songs too. That one made me LAUGH though.:D

I ruined animal collective's grass for myself by looking for the lyrics and finding the wrong ones someone thought it was.

hippo with amnesia... :( dammit. I still love it but I always hear the incorrect lyrics..

Oh come on, you must have listened to a song that you took quite seriously when someone then misheard something. I've had so many songs that I thought were fine until someone ruined them by hearing something that wasn't there.

I have never had an artist make a bad cover of a song, and then delete every copy of the original so that I can never simple listen to that instead.

Well, it's not a song, but after doing 'The chronicles of Narnia: The lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' (movie) in English, and then seeing epic movie, I can never watch it again without thinking, oh, and this is the part that we analyzed for three days, and wrote 12 pages of notes on. UGH! < / rant > xD

So many people ruin the song Hallelujah. There's only been one extremely good cover, that is actually better than the original, and that's Jeff Buckley's version.

I liked the tune and basically everything about the song "Pain" by three days grace... then I did something weird called listening to the words in the song, and it made me cry with sympathy and disturbing..ness. I willl never listen to it again

For some reason implying that Nightwish are in anyway good makes me laugh.

Anyways, the interpretation of Burzum's War is absolutely hilarious and I find myself hearing those lyrics instead of the actual one at times.

On a related note, seeing the PG trailer for 300 ruined the phrases in the movie; I kept thinking "Our bees will blot out the sun" / "Then we will hug in the shade."
