you see all i get is a knot of rust in every chest, either wearing diamond armlet or not...you see the place where you get the fomalhaut in the lhusu mines? theres like an 80% you'll get the fomalhaut but all i get is the fucking knot of rust!

Actually Shemhazai's special attack depends on how many Knots of Rust you have used so if you want to have a good hit using her stock up on those

According to the guide on Shemhazai:

this Esper reguarlay uses her Devour Soul ability. The more she uses it, the more damage her Esper Technick will inflict. The damage that Shemhazai's Soul Purge attack inflicts is actually 1/3 of the the total damage dealt by Devour Soul. Furthermore, the Esper Technick is also affected by the total damage you have dealt by using Knots of Rust. Though unlikely to reach the upper extremes, it can inflict up to 60'000 HP of damage.

i got it first time, whilst fighting the antlion. also, it doesnt suck! it has a low attack power, but Vaan had the Save The Queen (100 attack) and was dealing 4000 damage, bathier had the faumalust (or whatever it is) and dealt 6000-8000

The fomalhaut is hard to get though. I'm a fan of it, since Ashe looks so damn sexy as a Gunner. Better than that airheaded Yuna chick.
