Jeez... Have you noticed that theres a character named Cid in every FF I've played. (Which means ff VII VIII IX X X-2 XII.) Is the guy who made ffs' name Cid or sumthin? Dont know what made me put this post on ff XII but it came to me when I started playing.

Yeah, it's a tradition that's been going on in basically every FF game (with the few exceptions). Is it a real problem to you? Because I generally think it's a cool thing, especially since he's always been some sort of engineer.

FFXII is the only one where Cid's a villain... I think it's cool that you have to fight him. It's a nice change from other Cids that help you.

And I stole a 'Ketu Board' from him once!

Yeah, this is personally my favourite Cid. His voice acting and body language shown is just awesome -- it's a shame we couldn't get to see a great deal of him throughout the game.

Other than that, Cid Highwind is pretty cool too -- Robbin Williams Cid from FF8 was too much of a fuddy-duddy!

The fat Cid from VIII was always waddling about. He was hilarious, and Cid Highwind frequently hit my heart with his emotional speeches. I always put on a strong Texas, rough accent for him; and done it with a hell of a lot of charisma!
This current Cid in XII is proper insane and funny. He resembles Baltheir so much and them two together probably could of ruled the world...MUAHAHAHAHAHAH.
He's all posh and higher class as well--finally, a Cid who has attained a more accomplished degree of intellect, and a Cid who you can really relate to. He taught Balthier well, but was soon to be betrayed. I can't believe Balthier was a judge!

Ya, there's a Cid in every Final Fantasy since FFII. They added one in the remakes of the first Final Fantasy but you don't see him, a NPC just mention his name.

You seriously need to play the older FFs, you miss a lot of great games

I thought I was the only person who thought the "Cid" from FFVIII looked like Robin Williams. Anyways, If you were one of the people who bought the FFXII Collector's Edition, There is a bonus DVD that has the whole history of FF, Including the whole Cid thing. It was really worth the extra $10. for the Collector's Edition.
