Someone had a good idea of what the future of gaming would be, 40-50 years ago... How old is the book ?

I think we've found proof of psychics, now.

I hate it when people "guess" the future like that. It usually turns out completely and utterly wrong. I mean, look at the Jetsons! Set for the year 2000!!!

They have some pretty accurate stuff in there.

It's so depressing reading old books written like this, "Check out what we'll be able to do someday that doesn't totally blow like today."

I want to play The Ultimate Game right now.

Eh, I don't find it hugely impressive to predict that computers are getting more powerful and that, correspondingly, games will be able to do more.

I never knew the internet was really a series of small radio transmitters!

The paper clearly states we use radio transmitters.

What do you think is on your cellphone or your wireless laptop ? Or even in the fanciest wireless controllers ? Bluetooth is a radio transmission standard and so is WiFi. So are TDMA, CDMA and all the digital cellphone wave standards.

Cheap controllers use infrared instead of radio waves but the more sophisticated ones use bluetooth or other radio transmission standard such as 802.

Yeah and Sony is a leading chemical producer of sleeping pills.

Actually, that's quite accurate, too! *falls asleep in front of PS3* :D

That manual is quite accurate as well. Virtually everything they mention has happened to a degree, although not quite how they imagined.

And the ultimate game... well, isn't that just a glorified flight simulator. But surely that's in the pipeline anyway.
