I just purchaced an Nintendo 64 because I never enjoyed some of the great games that have been made for it. I got The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and Seper Mario 64 and am planning on purchacing the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time very soon. What other games do you all reccomend? I know that N64 has produced many great games. I'm listening.

Super Smash Bros., GoldenEye, OgreBattle 64, and the games you just mentioned are the main gems in my opinion.

Forget Goldeneye. Perfect Dark is much better...

I liked Goldeneye more. =P

Paper Mario needs some lovin' too! Along with Blast Corps.

Super Smash Bros., GoldenEye

In addition, Starfox 64, Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Perfect Dark, Yoshi's Story, amongst a great many others that I don't feel like naming. The first Mario Party is actually worth playing along with Snowboard Kids 1 and 2.

I played goldeneye way back in the day. I played Pape Mario the other day. I have many fun memories played Super Mario 64. I'll check out Blast Corps.

I don't know if Smash Bros & Mario Kart are worth buying considering I have the SSB Melee and Mario Kart Double Dash for Gamecube.

Ah, how could I forget Paper Mario, that game was hugely underrated imo.

The original isn't necessarily better, but it plays rather differently. No need to not consider it just because it's not a newer, shinier version. Same thing for Kart 64. You'll appreciate your multiplayer skills more if you play them.

EDIT: Don't play Stacraft 64. It's a painful experience.

I just nought Perfect Dark on Amazon for $1.89  I'm getting a job after break so I can buy all the great video games I've always wanted to play :)

I still have an old N64 which, despite my rough treatment of it, still seems to work perfectly. I use it to play Banjo-Kazooie sometimes. I do have other games, but they are all to weird for me.

I don't like either of the SSB games so I won't comment on them, but Double Dash is utter crap compared to Mario Kart 64. Do yourself a favour and pick it up. Also, avoid Mario Party 1. Damn if I don't love that game but it killed at least two of my controllers.

Other greats to pick up are Starfox 64, Blast Corps, Mischief Makers, Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon, Perfect Dark, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire (if you're a Star Wars fan anyway), Wave Race 64, Pilotwings 64, Goldeneye (even though PD is better), and Turok 1. I can't think of any more at the moment, but I'll just post again if any come to mind.

GoldenEye is a absolutely great multiplayer game - and is also fun to play solo if you're in to that sort of thing.

I've also enjoyed playing a lot of Diddy Kong Racing, which is also an awesome multiplayer game.

We need more Shinobi codes to unlock all of the medals for the boards and the Japan level.

Too bad only Nancy and Shinobi had 500s.

Battletanks: Global Assault was the :skull::skull::skull::skull: for multiplayer back in the day. Good times.

That would be nice, but I doubt they will have all 64 games up. Like the DDR game for N64. Japan gets all the good stuff:cry:

I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly had fun on Aero Gauge. Though the replay value pretty much sucks. There are many awesome games around with the N64, stuff like Mario 64, Mario Kart, Zelda games, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Starfox 64, Banjo Kazooie (and Tooie).

BUT DO NOT EVER GET QUEST 64! :mad2:

Seconded for truth. PD > Goldeneye.

One series which seems to be missing, however, is Turok. Any game which lets you fire nukes wins already, but the Cerebral Bore = hell yes.

As cool as it seemed back in the day, I got bored with Turok quickly.

A lot of games wouldn't be the same using a Gamecube or classic controller though. There's also the fact that he apparently bought PD for 1/5th the price of a VC N64 game if I'm not mistaken.

I did mention the first one, which is better than the second if you ask me, though the second had multiplayer which was a plus. I used to slaughter anyone foolish enough to use the cerebral bore on me though. At my prime I would never miss twice, if that, and every kill was a headshot. For a skilled player, the crossbow was the most effective weapon in the game.
