Just want to know what other people think about Avril Lavigne's carrier single for her third album The Best Damn Thing. Here's a link to the video from YouTube.

The music is fun and catchy. The pop rock element was still retained.

Avril's image in the video was kinda disturbing. Fishnet stockings, mini skirt, long blonde hair and now she dances! Not that I have a problem with it. In fact I quite admire her new image.

It's quite understandable why she's changed. She's married now to Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 after all. :love:

But main point: I want to know what you guys think. :D

Avril Lavigne isn't bad. I quite liked some of her music, especially off her second album (I borrow that one quite frequently from my sister :D ). Not to mention she's pretty hot. But this song is pretty crap though. Just another cheesy teeny bopper song.......I guess it was inevitable that she would eventually turn out like this.

The video also annoys me, making the black haired girl out to be the good guy, hitting people with golf balls, outright stealing someone's boyfriend infront of them, stuff like that.

The fact that her managers decided to go in an "EDGY SKATER PUNK ATTITUDE" direction is the only thing that seperates her from any manufactured pop princess.

Coincidentally that song managed to be even worse than the stuff she used to churn out. She seems to have reverted back into the mushy pop princess clay they first moulded her out of. If it wasn't for the heart/skull and crossbone motif (How fucking hardcore is THAT?), I honestly wouldn't be able to tell her from any other of her teenybopper ilk.

As soon as I heard that avril had a new album out, I was going to buy it :D :D :D I hadn't heard that song until now, and I'm so disappointed, Avril Lavigne is one of my favourite singers and I love both of her albums, I might wait until I hear what other songs are on that album now. There's usually one song on an album that's rubbish, I hope it's that one.
