I just got my hands on Final Fantasy III on the DS and I'm absolutely blown away. This game could become my all-time second favourite after Final Fantasy VII.

However there are a few things I have no idea about, and a GameFAQs search could offer no insight, so I'm hoping some of you fantastic lovely people could offer some advice or suggestions...

My first query is about the Job classes, it says in the Game Manual that if you master a job, something good happens... I've only been able to master Luneth's Freelancer job (while playing solo before getting Arc) but nothing happened when his Job level got to 99. Is it only some classes that offer bonuses for completing? If so, which ones and what do you get?

My second question is concerning this Mognet "Wi-Fi" thingy. Um... what on Earth is Wi-Fi and how does it work? I live in New Zealand and I don't know anybody else who plays FFIII or even owns a DS. I have no knowledge or experience of using anything like this, so can anyone offer a crash course for the Mognet illiterate?

Edit - I didn't notice my FFIII game had a Wi-Fi setup User guide in the box! D'OH!

Thanks in advance! *big hugs*

Level 99 Freelancer before you even got Arc? Wow...

I would also like to ask that question though, i've mastered Arcs Dragoon, and Refias White Mage and Devout(nearly).

I thought that the other character's levels were based on your own level when you first added them to your party, so I was levelling up in the Mine in Kazus and got to Level 20, and ended up getting my Freelancer Job to 99.

If you find a certain smith, he/she/it will make a good item for you. For a full explanation, you should check the Master Smith guide on Gamefaqs.

If you master a job, you can obtain the best weapon for this job from the Master Blacksmith (He/she/it only appear near the end of the game).

Also, I would start a new game if I were you. Lvling up Freelancer a lot is a really bad idea because you gain less bonus stats for your character. If you always put a character as a Monk for exemple, he will have a lot of HP at the end of the game, a lot more than a character you lvled as a Freelancer to lvl20. The less your lvls are high for fighting the second boss (You have the 6 first jobs after him), the best will be your characters later in the game.

Bonus stats?

I thought the attribute bonuses were standard and pre-determined according to your character's level?

By the way - Kentarou, thanks for the advice, I found the "Final Fantasy III: Mognet FAQ by typhlosion5555" guide to be excellent! :D

I just looked in a faq and it only affect the HP.

Yay! I found the Master Smith. Only have the Dragoon item so far, i didn't realise that your Character had to have that mastered job equipted when you speak to her, otherwise she buggers off! How rude!

I like how she just wonders around villages. Its a nice surprise to bump into when you wern't looking for her.
