What do you think of Pierce Brosnan as James Bond? I like Brosnan's performance in GoldenEye but I don't like his other Bond films. I don't think it's his fault though if Brosnan had better directors and better screenplay writers then he would've had better sequels to his debut Bond film. Although bad sequels aside Pierce Brosnan is definitely a better Bond than both Roger Moore and George Lazenby in my opinion. I don't think Timothy Dalton was much of an improvement over Moore and Lazenby.

As I grew up with Brosnan as Bond, he's what I picture when people talk about James Bond.

I think he did a good job.

meh

he's the typical smooth-talking attractive spyguy that james bond has turned into over the years.

to me, connery is the coolest bond, but the new bond, from the remake of casino royale, is what i picture the original bond to be like, more tough and gritty, he looks like a killer.

I liked him in GoldenEye (first Bond film I saw). But I do prefer Sean Connery and the new guy; I like those type of Bond's better.

When I conjure up an image of Bond, I see what Jebus has posted.

I will say that Casino Royale surprised me - in an entirely perfect way.

Funny how no-one is able is name Daniel Craig. He's just the "new guy" xD

All the Bond's have been good, in my opinion. I think Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan were a cut above the rest though. Daniel Craig was great in Casino Royale too.

I've always felt that Pierce Brosnan looks far too frail to play an ass kicking super spy. I always felt that Tomarrow Never Dies was fairly funny, in the sense that Michelle Yeoh kicked more ass believeably then Pierce ever could. You just knew this bond girl could make bond her personal Bitch, and It was pretty funny.

As for Daniel Craig, he did a great job first time at bat, it was good that they decided to make bond more grittier, tougher, and nastier then before. The film I felt wasn't perfect. Just how did vesper know how to revive bond, she's a treasury agent, not a registered nurse. And it seems like every time bond drew his gun, he just ended up losing it two minutes later. But still, the film was very good overall and actually made Bond interesting again.

Casino Royale's action scenes didn't really impress me.

And it could be argued that she got instructions from the HQ, like Bond did. They both had earpieces.

Second best to Connery I would think. He actually looks like his name is James Bond

Pierce is my least favourite Bond to be honest. He portayed Bond as more of a comedian than a tough guy. Whats great about Daniel Craig is that hes turning Bond old school and going back to the hard as nails approach which is what Bond is.

But didn't Roger Moore also portray Bond as more of a comedian than a tough guy? Because in A View To A Kill, I bet Grace Jones could've kicked Moore's ass and made him, her bitch too.

And that is why Roger is the second worst Bond.

Eh, there were 'bad' bond actors in the past. Brosnan was one of them, just not the worse.

Fact is, I have no idea what the plots were for the past few Bond movies thanks to general Brosnan apathy. Daniel Craig's interpretation was very enjoyable though. I think I'm not quite finished with Bond now :)

I grew up with him as James Bond, and therefore I think he did a good job. For some reason I've always had a soft spot for "GoldenEye", and his performance in that film is actually pretty great. He's better than Roger Moore and George Lazenby, but then on the other hand he was not as good as Sean Connery and Daniel Craig.

When I think James Bond, Pierce is the guy who pops into my head. He actually looks like he'd be James Bond. I also think he did a great job in Goldeneye, and the best job he could in the others. He can't exactly be blamed for his other Bond films going the campy route of the Moore films since it wasn't up to him. As such, he's my second favourite Bond, above Connery, and below Daniel Craig. Craig gave the best performance of Bond as a spy should be, while Connery is just classic, but I don't see him as embodying the James Bond persona. Perhaps because I'm too young to have grown up with him as Bond. He did provide the majority of the best Bond films though, so props to him for that.

Just from Dr. No, I think Connery is the best, followed by Brosnan, then Moore. I haven't seen any of the Dalton movies, or OHMSS or Casino Royale.

I dunno, maybe it was the obvious-ness of him having leeds on his chest, a wire detached, and a machine with a big red button.

I enjoyed Casino Royale a lot. I thought Craig did a wonderful job and I enjoyed the portrayal of Bond as an infant agent. Being that it was the beginning of the Bond series, the first Bond movie in a storyline, I thought it was good that they portrayed him as a character with faults. Instead of the genius-like Bond that Brosnan was. I haven't seen any of the older movies, being that I'm not the biggest fan of Bond as a whole, so I can't say how Craig or Brosnan held up to Moore and Connery.

Goldeneye is my favourite Bond film starring Brosnan aswell. I should buy it on DVD, I only have it on VHS.
