I hardly drink the right amount that I should to stay healthy, but I'm slowly increasing my contents of the stuff.

Nowhere near enough, I'll say that much. By that I mean fluids in general, not just water.

A pretty decent amount I think!

All I drink is water, I dislike the taste of anything else, except some fruit juices, but they're far too expensive for a poor little student like me :D :D :D

Unless I'm drinking some sort of alcoholic beverage, practically all I drink is water. Several bottles per day, as well as a few glasses if I go out to eat anywhere.

Breine
04-13-2007, 04:53 PM
A lot. Whenever I drink something it's almost always water, and when not it's either milk or juice.

Water is pretty awesome.

I drink water only if there isn't anything else, I prefer any cola drinks...I drink water about one glass in 2 days!

Reles
04-13-2007, 05:21 PM
Hardly any at all. Only time where I grab to drink water is if I'm taking medicine, or I wake up dehydrated and grab a glass in the morning, but that rarely happens. I think it's probably physically impossible for me to drink 8 glasses of water a day. I don't know if that's because I'm tiny, but if I even drink a whole bottle of water or more, I start to feel sick. Like bloated or something. I probably get enough water from the food that I eat and other beverages. So yeah...

Although I heard that this one guy was trying to lose weight and he would pretty much watch what he was eating but at the same time make sure he had a healthy amount of water. He ended up feeling a lot better and probably losing the weight he wanted to. But all of that depends on the body type I'm sure.

when at school, since you can only buy pop out of the vending machines before or after school, I get water during lunch, and then, it has to be flavored. Plain water is just...it makes me feel sick, like Reles. So I drink a lot of tea and flavored water to make up for it =]

Not nearly enough, of any liquid. I'm surprised my kidneys haven't given in yet!

You're supposed to have 2 litres of water a day. I hate it when so-called professionals tell you to have eight glasses a day, because glasses come in all sorts of sizes! :mad2:

I drink 1.5 liters at work (because that’s how much is in the bottles I get) and then however much while I’m at home. I don’t really count, I just... drink. I do get very cranky when I’m all out of water, though, and I refuse to drink it out of the tap.

Probably around 48-72 oz. on average. Some days, I drink hardly any.

Years back, when I was working at a job that involved lots of physical work, I would drink over a gallon each day during the summer. Some days, I had to work 8 hours in 95+ degree heat.

I'm constantly drinking water, so I would assume I would have enough. Besides, the area in which I live requires me to drink enough water to stay cool most of the time. At any rate, it's practically the only thing I drink...

1.25 Gallons or Around 5.5 liters (maybe a little less sometimes) of fluids per day. 70-80% of this is water, the rest is milk/drinkable yogurt/green tea (sometimes I drink a lot of this stuff... really healthy) and maybe some natural fruit juices with minimal artificial flavors. Need it as I am consistently active.

The "8 glasses" to stay healthy should be a bare minimum, even for smaller sized people. You can survive on much less, but that does not mean its "enough". You're probably just cutting your lifespan and doing damage to your body.

For those that say they feel "bloated" or "too full of water", I suggest you trickle in fluids throughout the day, rather than trying to down 2 liters within one hour. Make it a habit to carry around some water with you or something. Take a couple sips every 15 minutes. Hope that helps.

Oh and FYI, by the time you are feeling "thirsty", you are already 2 to 3 % dehydrated, and that isnt good. Dont drink because you feel thirsty. Drink on schedule. :p

I drink plenty of water, in some form at least. If it is just straight water though, it has to be cold with ice cubes in it. Any warmer, and I just won't drink it.

Water that isn't super cold is undrinkable, yes.

I don't really care for plain water so I put a bit of juice in it for flavour and I try to drink 6 to 8 cups a day. I tend to fall short of that amount most days than not though.

I thought I was the only person who actually "liked" water.

Most occasions I drink alot because it's a habit. After losing 70 pounds and drinking nothing but water to accomplish this goal, I haven't dropped it yet. I drink more water then the normal body probably should consume however, which probably isn't a good thing. Who knows.

So yah, if you picture like a really tall glass, I can gobble down about 4 or 5 of those in a day. I don't know how much that is, but I do drink alot of water.
