So yeah now that I'm back to Bert again I plan on sticking with it. everytime I change my name like one month later I hate it and want it changed back. Then I must wait 5 more months to have it changed. Well no more of that people!

so how often do you change your name?
do you like it when people change their names?
which of my names is the best?

I became theundeadmonkey once during the whole Pope drama a while ago. It was pretty fun fueling the fires of being a corrupt pope manipulated by monkey, and the name change was a great part of that. I didn't have to wait six months to change it back. It was only a month or two.

I liked Shlupbert.

I changed my name once and not a lot of people noticed, I don't think, because I hardly ever posted before I changed my name!

I used to be Gir after the character in Invader Zim. Then I was like "wow, I don't even watch that show anymore. Time for a new name." So now I'm Pike and I don't plan on changing anytime soon :choc2:

The guys who came to the meetup all want me to change it to Pie :(

I always change my name so as to make it fit with my age; hence Peter_20 signifies my being 20 years old.

I'm gonna go on with this forever. :D

"Would a rose by any other name not smell just as sweet?"

Yeah I don't really care - but you know what's interesting, as soon as a name change becomes real and effective in life and not just an online pseudo identity.... people tend to receive the name change with less grace. I noticed this after watching my mom go through her own name change. Family member's and friends' reactions tended to be more judgemental.

Yeah it's crazy - this thing called a user profile already contains all such information.

Please stay with Bert. I think it took me less than a week to see that your new name was both alienating, sucky, and n00bish. Please stay with Bert. It's respectable and short. No need to shorten.

I will never have my name changed.

I haven't changed my name.. as of yet that is. I might some day - who knows?

I think it's fine that people change their names, although it can be a bit confusing at times. Growing tired of something is completely natural.

i've kept this screen-name since joining and i dont plan to change it.

good luck keeping witht the new name.

Shauna
04-13-2007, 05:15 PM
I've been yuna_elena, and kenstarr_subpoena. The latter was a forced name change! Yeah, I changed my name to Shauna, late 2005 because yuna_elena was one of those noob names you tend to use - and a lot of people knew me as Shauna anyway. So, it seemed appropriate.

Back in 2003 when I was on FFGON I was SEIFERalmasy151 and I kinda grew out of that, so I changed my name to Alex151, and I've used this name on every other forum since then

Glitch
04-13-2007, 07:43 PM
I like being a glitch! Glitches can be both mean and nice. I prefer to be the nice kind. You know, the one that somehow grants you infinite lives or duplicates a very useful item. ^_^ When people make me mad, however, I like to be the kind that puts some horrible L99 beast in a wrong location and seal with them inside! Or, if lucky, perhaps just messing up all the pixels to spite people. I need to find more games with outrageous glitches. Ah. I digress. In short, I will never change my name. Names show individuality.

I want his tongue! Anyways, I thought of changing mine but I probably wouldn't like it that much and I know I would want to change it back. I liked your TrowaBartonIV^_^ but I do like your bert thing better.

I don’t think that there should be name changes, ever. Especially not the junk ones some people get on special occasions. Your name here should be like a tattoo on your forehead—except it would be worse than that, because at least with a tattoo you could slightly alter it, or get it painfully reduced. You wouldn’t be able to do that with your Eyes on Final Fantasy name. Register with some crappy Final Fantasy name when you were 14, and have now changed your mind? Too bad. You picked that name to start with, and you can keep it until you fucking die. And I wouldn’t worry about that encouraging people to register new accounts, because plenty of people do it here anyway, so it’s clearly not a problem.

Roto13
04-14-2007, 12:16 AM
I was roto13, then roto13-ness, now Roto13. I'll probably stick with this, unless I decide to change it to rotothirteen eventually.

Ouch!
04-14-2007, 12:23 AM
Usually name changes don't throw me off too bad. I've done my fair share of them in the past. Mostly variations of the same two things. I've briefly considered becoming Dubya again on multiple occasions, but it never gets further than that.

By the way, stick with Bert. It's good.

I've only had one other name and I changed due to the fact that I wanted something at least somewhat original. As a whole I dislike name changes, though I usually just look at avatars and thus rarely notice. If I don't know you by your avatar you're not important enough.

The only time I've changed my online alias was when I went from Nenuku to Lekana when I first join oh almost 3 years ago. Lekana is cooler imho.

I have never changed my name. I don't plan on it anytime soon. xD. It's a nub name, but I've grown to love it. :D

Well, I was formerly Sir Mortimer Malthus-Howell III, but someone changed it for me without me asking. It only lasted a day or two I believe. :D

Dr. Acula

I'm always afraid someone's gonna steal my name if I change it (I might want it back later, after all...), and Dr. Acula's fine with me for now.

....OMFG!!!

Reles
04-14-2007, 08:29 PM
I have only changed it to Reles with a hat and Reles with a cat, although the second wasn't my doing. Probably because of this: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b271/shaleadarkin/Imag0543.jpg

I admit that name changes are hard on me, I usually have to end up looking at your profile multiple times to see if that person was actually someone else that I already previously knew.
