But I agree that people should wait a little before judging the game so heavily. Theres a good chance the game will a good one, but little chance that it'll be great. They could of done what they did with Dead Aim and have it half 3rd person, half 1st person. I actually liked Dead Aim quite alot, despite what everyone said about it.

this is a dumb argument. if someone had to state every time that what they're saying is opinion or fact, it would get way too tedious. it's taken for granted that not everyone likes the same thing; roto really likes RE4. i do too, personally, but that doesn't mean at all that he's pressing it on the rest of the population.

Objectively, everything except the absence of zombies and Rebecca, and the presence of Ashley, is actually better in a qualifiable manner. Now here's two pennies

You know, generally if someone says, "Blah is better," you can almost always assume it's their opinion, whether they say it is or not. Whenever someone asks what's the best FF game, no one walks around saying, "Well in my opinion, FFVI." No they just strictly say, "FFVI." (for example)

When someone says something is the best, or better, 99% of the time it is opinion. However with something like Resident Evil 4, while it's quite obvious to me that Roto's statement was an opinion, it's a widely regarded fact that for the majority of gamers, Resident Evil 4 is the best in the series.

Does this new game take place in the Resident Evil 1 Mansion? It really looks like it from that one pic with the snake in the library. The hall is pretty similar too.

Yes, it's a(nother) remake. Probably fairly cheap to develop as I assume they're recycling assets from the gamecube remake.

The first game is set in RE1, the second RE2 the third RE3 not sure on the 4th, its ment to apprently be from Umbrellas view, but from what Ive seen thats tripe its just house of the dead remakes.

I think that Umbrella Chronicles looks a lot like RE4 on PS2. The setting looks a lot similar when you are inside compared to the castle in RE4 when you are inside. The only difference is that Umbrella Chronicles is in a city and RE4 was out in the middle of nowhere Spain.
