I'd say it's only worth a rent unless your very much the FFVII fan. I can't imagine myself ever wanting to watch the whole thing again.

I wouldn't say you're missing out on much, the only reason to see it is for the fight scenes.

If you're a ff7 fanboy Like I am, then definitely see it. If you're not so much a 7 fan, then Id still recommend one watch

Not worth a purchase, but worth the time it took to download it.

It's really a watch once thing then replay the scenes you like, If you are going to watch it once i would recomend Japanese with english subtitles

It is out in Aus, I've rented it.

Don't get your hopes up. It's a decent action movie with excellent CGI, but if you want plot, character development, or logic, stay well away.

It's a good movie if you're a FF7 fan. I just saw it for the second time last night and I actually think it's very enjoyable. I got really nostalgic while watching it.

EDIT: The movie has some crazy ass action sequences as well.

This. It's really not that good a film. Frankly I'm just glad the fandub parody skipped the last motorbike chase; really made a statement.

I bought it for $13 (AUD) last year on DVD...

Not really, unless you're totally into FF7. It was pretty, though the animation was kind of choppy. The fight scenes were way too ridiculous for me to take seriously. There was one that I couldn't stop laughing through.

We all know they exaggerated with the fight scenes, and I erased that film from my memory. There was no Advent Children...the whole of the group lived happily ever after, and Cloud banged Tifa.

I downloaded it in Japanese, and even though it's pretty to look at, I never watched it again after the first time and don't really plan too.

If I do, it'd be with the sound really quiet or something, for like... background noise.

I recomend it for one time use, but nothing other than that.

yup. If it were a game it could have been amazing but not enough time in movies.
