I know this game isn't that popular, and I agree that it pales in comparison to most other games, but it definitely shines in one aspect: the boss battle theme.
It ROCKS!
I daresay it's one of the best boss battles in the series; it ties with Still More Fighting from FF7.

All the tracks in that game were awesome. Unfortunately, the rest of the game couldn't hold up the same awesomeness...

You can never, ever go wrong with SNES metal, which sadly died with the 16-bit era. Just look at Super Punch Out!!'s soundtrack.

Anyone else find it odd that for what a good tune it is, it's only 45 seconds long?

I have only one question: who composed it?

It's a pity, really...Mystic Quest, at least in my opinion, isn't *bad* per se...just simplified to the point of redundancy. Nevertheless, I don't think it got a fair shake. I mean, it got me hooked on Final Fantasy...I guess I had the luxury of playing it *first* though.

Ryuji Sasai. I know its an old topic but no one ever answered.
