The standardised size and shape made for a level playing field between players, as well as eliminating stupid stick-it-an-an-oven-full-of-vinegar-and-parrot-bones cheats. However, I was (and still am) pretty convinced that the power of a Pog was determined by the awesomeness of the image upon it. I was never able to prove it with science, but that did not deter me.

Psychotic, I'm well aware of the restrictions on the ownage of Pokemon in reference to Psychic and Ghost types.

In Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, Psychic was superior to all Ghost types, why? Because of the Poison element, as you said. However, beginning in Gold, Silver, and Crystal, there are Ghost Pokemon without the Poison attribute (Misdraevus). Therefore, they used to be able to own all Ghost Pokemon. The move Shadow Ball was also added in the second generation.

Lick is Ghost type, and causes Paralyze. Night Shade is Ghost type, but does damage based on levels.
